Troubleshooting FAQs

Wave Force 3 needs boAt ConnectO app to be installed on the users’ media devices. It is available on both

Google Play Store and Apple App Store to be downloaded and installed into the users’ devices to use

and utilise the Wave Force 3’s full functionality-

Step 1: Via QR Code Scanning

  • Find the QR code on the product manual of the Wave Force 3 for installing the boAt ConnectO App on the media devices of the users.

  • Open the QR Code Scanner app on the user’s devices and scan the code present on the user manual of the. Wave Force 3

  • Thereafter, follow the on-screen instructions to install the boAt ConnectO app on the user’s device.

Step 2: Via searching the App on Google Play or Apple Play Store​

  • On Google Play or Apple App Store, in the search-bar, type ‘boAt ConnectO’ and enter search.

  • You will see the boat ConnectO app in the search result list.

  • Click on the install button to install boat ConnectO app on the user’s media device.

First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above.

  1. Download the boAt ConnectO application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  2. When you open the app, please allow all permissions.

  3. Register with your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.

  4. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.

  5. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find Wave Force 3 smartwatch in the available device list.

  6. Click on the FORCE3_BT to pair the WAVE FORCE 3 Smartwatch with your phone.

  7. This will complete the pairing process after which the Wave Force 3 smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

  1. The operational distance for the Bluetooth is 7-10m. It is ideal that phone and watch is in direct contact with each other.

  2. If still the Bluetooth is disconnecting, close the app, switch off and on the Bluetooth and start the app again.

  3. Make sure the app is running in background always.

  1. First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above. It is necessary to accept and agree to all the terms and permissions, including the location services also.

  2. Download the boAt ConnectO application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  3. When you open the app, please allow all permissions.

  4. Register your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.

  5. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.

  6. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find Wave Force 3. Always allow all the permissions but it it recommended to deny the permissions for Battery optimization & self-start / auto-start.

  7. smartwatch in the available device list. Click on the FORCE3 _BT pair the Wave Force 3 Smartwatch with your phone.

  8. This will complete the pairing process after which the Smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

  1. Yes, step counting, heart rate monitoring, spO2, time can be recorded directly on your watch while your phone is not connected.

  2. Watch has some internal memory to record this data.

  3. Once you are in contact with your phone, you can sync the data to the app.

  1. Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable which comes with the watch package on the charging pad of the watch which is located on the back of the watch and connect the other end which is an USB-A end to a 5V, 2A rated power adapter or power bank or a computer.

  2. The Watch Wave Force 3’s display would show the charging status and charging percentage while charging.

Note: If the Watch Wave Force 3 is connected to a computer USB port for charging, the speed of charging would be less as the power pushed by the USB port of a computer is less than the 5V 2A rated power adapter.

  1. Check if the charging connector behind the watch is clean and rust free.

  2. Try cleaning it with an alchohol swab.

  • Battery charge status is shown on the watch homepage with the percentage of the charge remaining on the watch Wave Force 3’s battery. 

  1. Before using the Watch Wave Force 3 for the first time, please fully charge the smartwatch first.

  2. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

  3. Any other accessories could be used for charging the Watch Wave Force 3 as long as the above norms are followed.

  1. Disable the battery optimization feature.

  2. Make sure smart reminders (call alert and message alert are enabled ) on the app are on and synced to the watch.

    Also make sure your notification center of the phone is displaying messages. Only then will your smartwatch also display those notifications.

  3. Even if the notifications are not coming, switch off your phone’s Bluetooth and again switch on OR restart your phone

  4. Try uninstalling and installing the boAt ConnectO app, allow all the permissions except for battery optimization and then start binding process with the watch.

  5. Reset the watch and check if the function is working or not.

  1. Check if after long pressing the MFB, the watch is switching on or not. Flicking the wrist is enabling waking up the watch display or not.

  2. Check to charge the watch fully with the magnetic charging cable supplied with it via 5V 2A charging adapter or via a power bank or via a computer.

  3. Try cleaning the charging pins at the back panel of the watch as well as on the charging cable. Now plug in the charger and check if the watch has powered On.

  • To access watch faces from the app, users should log in to the app first.

  1. To sync the data to the boAt ConnectO app, connect the Wave Force 3 to the media device via the boat ConnectO app and go to the app’s homepage, drag down the screen. This will start the syncing process and data will be synced to the app.

  2. Make sure you are in Bluetooth range and watch and ProGear app are nearby when you are syncing the data

  3. If the app is taking too long time to sync or it gets stuck while syncing, unbind the device with the app and reconnect.

Note: Try to sync the data of the app at least once in every 7 days to avoid huge data to be synced in a single go and to avoid any data loss.

  1. We have designed the watch so that the display is active on a slight flick of the wrist.

  2. The tracker may take a second or two to light up the screen.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.

  • Open the music player on your phone, select a song which you want to play, and control from music (play/pause/next/previous/volume up down)

Note 1: Make sure you enable music control from the app first

Note 2: Make sure the watch is connected to the app

  1. Short press side button-> sleep -> view sleep record.

  2. To see the detailed sleep pattern, sync your watch with the app

  1. Make sure you wear the watch while sleeping to track the sleep data.

  2. Measure your night sleep automatically. Sleep duration and classification details (Deep, light, REM, Awake) are available on the watch and the app.

  3. Sleep will not be recorded if you have less than 3 hours

  4. Sync the watch with the app in the morning to view sleep data

Note: Data might not be recorded correctly if a lot of movement is noticed between 6-8 AM

  1. Check if the user has hair, tattoo, skin complexion, scaring, wearing the watch too lose or too tight might affect the readings.

  2. Check if the heart rate sensor which is there on the bottom of the watch is glowing in green or not. If the sensor is working properly the sensor should glow in green colour.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.​

  • SpO2 and Heart Rate monitoring is only for the reference, data may not match with the medical equipment. This watch is not a medical grade equipment.

  1. Your watch is tracking the movement if your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected.

  2. Ensure that your app and the watch are synchronized.

General FAQs

  1. Long press the button located on the upper side of the Wave Force 3 it would lead to turning the watch on.

  2. Raise your wrist to wake up the screen of the watch.

  • While the Wave Force 3 on, long press on the upper side button for shut down power off option, this would lead to turning the watch off.

  • Short press the upper side button to open the menu.

  • While the user is inside the menu, tapping the several icons would lead to entering the different modes on the Wave Force 3.

  • There are following mode options on the menu of the Wave Force 3-

  1. Steps– For tracking daily activities like step count, distance travelled, etc. by the users.

  2. Heart Rate – For measuring the heart rate of the users.

  3. Blood Oxygen – For Measuring the saturation level of oxygen (spO2) in the user’s blood

  4. Sleep Mode- For measuring the sleep hours of the users

  5. Breathing Mode – For breathing exercise of the users

  6. Alarm – To set up alarm for the users

  7. Music– To control the music from the watch when the users are listening to music. Note: This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols.

  8. Camera- To control the camera from the watch and click photos

  9. Timer – To set up timer for the users when in need

  10. Settings – To enter the settings of the watch

  1. There are multiple sports modes available Outdoor Sports, Outdoor Activities, Cycling, Fitness Sports, Dance Movement, Fight sports, Ball games, Snow sports, Leisure sports, Puzzle sports, Water sports, Swimming Sports and Other sports.

  2. Select any one of the exercises before starting that exercise.

  3. You can also add or replace the activities according to your preference through the watch.

  4. Press the upper side button to pause or stop the activity

  • On the App home dashboard> Tap on "Heart rate” card and you can view all your historical heart rate readings. You can view your Min and Max HR for the day. You can also access the history by tapping on the history icon and can also filter the details based on a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly basis.

  1. You can measure it on the watch. A user can view the details on the app

  2. Swipe left from the watch home screen >> Go to SPO2>> Tap measure.

  3. Post your measurement, please sync the SPO2 values to your boAt ConnectO app.

  1. Open the ‘boAt ConnectO’ app and you will find “More” on the lower right-hand side on the home page of the app.

  2. Click on it and go to Settings

  3. Inside Setting, you will find the Sleep Goal. You can set your Sleep Goal under this option.

  1. Inside the menu, click on the ‘Music Control’ icon on the watch to enter the music control feature

  2. While listening to music users can play, Pause, move back to previous track, jump forward to next track and control the volume of the music.

Note: This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols.

  1. Inside the menu, click on the ‘Shutter’ icon on the watch to access remote camera on the Wave Force 3 Watch

  2. Click again on the camera icon to open the camera app on the media device.

  • You can control the brightness level of the watch by swiping down from the watch home screen & change the brightness level.

  1. There are 4 default watch faces available on the watch. Long press on the watch home screen to view default watch faces, select and add your preferred watch face.

  2. You can also go to the main menu>Go to settings> Go to Dial switch and change the watch faces.

The green lights are used to monitor your heart rate. There is an optical sensor that detects the passage of the blood and then estimates the heart rate based on that information. Red light is the blood oxygen sensor.

  • The water resistance level of the Wave Force 3 smartwatch is IP67.
