Troubleshooting FAQs

Step 1: Via QR Code Scanning

  • Find the QR code on the product manual of the Wave Force 2 for installing the boat Crest App on the media devices of the users.

  • Open the QR Code Scanner app on the user’s devices and scan the code present on the user manual of the Wave Force 2 .

  • Thereafter, follow the on-screen instructions to install the boat crest app on the user’s device.

Step 2: Via searching the App on Google Play or Apple Play Store​

  • On Google Play or Apple App Store, in the search-bar, type ‘boAt Crest’ and enter search.

  • You will see the boat Crest app in the search result list.

  • Click on the install button to install boat crest app on the user’s media device.

Step 1 :

First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or

iOS 13 and above.

  1. Download the boAt Crest application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  2. When you open the app, please allow all permissions.

  3. Register with your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.

  4. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification. code in the app.

  5. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find WAVE FORCE 2 smartwatch in the available device list.

  6. Click on the Force 2 to pair the WAVE FORCE 2 Smartwatch with your phone.

  7. This will complete the pairing process after which the WAVE Force 2 Smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

Step 2 :

The previous process would enable the user to search for the Wave Force 2 to connect with the Wearables app as it would enable the Bluetooth of the device.

  1. Make sure your phone and watch are connected through Bluetooth

  2. Click on the BT call icon on the top left corner of the home dashboard (initially it will be red)

  3. Click on "Pair Now"

  4. A popup for pairing with Force 2 should appear. Click on "Pair & connect"

  5. BT call will be connected now and the BT call icon on the home dashboard will appear green

First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 6.0 and above or iOS 13 and above. It is necessary to accept and agree to all the terms and permissions including the location services also.

  1. Download the boAt Crest application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  2. When you open the app, please allow all permissions except "Battery optimization (For allowing the background data to run)" & "Auto -start".

  3. Register with your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.

  4. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.

  5. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find Wave Force 2 smartwatch in the available device list.

  6. Click on the Force 2 to pair the Wave Force 2 Smartwatch with your phone.

  7. This will complete the pairing process after which the Wave Force 2 Smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

  1. Go to the "More > Help & Feedback > Troubleshoot Connectivity" section in-app and select all the three options & tap on the troubleshoot button.

  2. Now go to the App home screen & the watch should connect automatically.

  3. Alternatively, you can click on the question mark (?) icon on the top right to access Troubleshoot Connectivity option as well & follow the rest as mentioned above.

  4. If the problem persists, toggle your phone Bluetooth or Close the App and Try Again.

  5. If this still does not work, please restart the phone and try to connect again.

  6. For iOS users: Please go to the Phone Bluetooth Screen and tap on the "i" icon against the watch name and forget the device and relaunch your app and there should be a pop-up message to pair the watch. Tap on the pair option.

  1. The operational distance for the Bluetooth is 7-10m. It is ideal that phone and watch is in direct contact with each other.

  2. If still the Bluetooth is disconnecting, close the app, switch off and on the Bluetooth and start the app again.

  3. Make sure the app is running in background always.

  1. Yes, step counting, Heart rate monitoring, calorie count and sports modes can be recorded directly on your watch while your phone is not connected

  2. Watch has some internal memory to record this data.

  3. Once you are in contact with your phone, you can sync the data to the app.

  1. Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable which comes with the watch package on the charging pad of the watch which is located on the back of the watch and connect the other end which is an USB-A end to a 5V, 2A rated power adapter or power bank or a computer.

  2. The Watch Wave Force 2 ’s display would show the charging status and charging percentage while charging.

Note: If the Watch Wave Force 2 is connected to a computer USB port for charging, the speed of charging would be less as the power pushed by the USB port of a computer is less than the 5V 2A rated power adapter.

  1. Check if the charging connector (magnetic pins) behind the watch as well as on the charging cable is clean and rust free.

  2. Try cleaning it with an alchohol swab.

  3. Ensure that the charger specification is 5V 2A (Output)

  • Battery charge status is shown on the watch homepage with the percentage of the charge remaining on the watch Wave Force 2 ’s battery. 

  1. Before using the Watch Wave Force 2 for the first time, please fully charge the smartwatch first.

  2. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

  3. Any other accessories could be used for charging the Watch Wave Force 2 as long as the above norms are followed.

  1. Disable the battery optimization feature.

  2. Make sure smart reminders (call alert and message alert are enabled ) on the app are On and synced to the watch. Also make sure your notification center of the phone is displaying messages. Only then will your smartwatch also display those notifications.

  3. Even if the notifications are not coming, switch Off your phone’s Bluetooth and again switch On OR restart your phone

  4. Try uninstalling and re-installing the boAt Crest app, allow all the permissions except for battery optimization & Auto-start and then start binding process with the watch and check if the issue is still persisting. Reset the watch and check if the function is working or not.

  • Please make sure that the sound is turned to maximum on the phone (for phone ringing) and camera permission is allowed which is required for the flashlight to work. If there is any alert slider, make sure it is set to ringing mode for sound to hear

  1. We have designed the watch so that the display is active on a slight flick of the wrist.

  2. The tracker may take a second or two to light up the screen.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.

  • In order to access watch faces from the app, users should log in to the app first

  1. In order to sync the data to the boAt crest app, connect the Wave Force 2 to the media device via the boat crest app and go to the app’s homepage,

    drag down the screen. This will start the syncing process and data will be synced to the app.

  2. Make sure you are in Bluetooth range and watch and ProGear app are nearby when you are syncing the data

  3. If the app is taking too long time to sync or it gets stuck while syncing, unbind the device with the app and reconnect again.

Note: Try to sync the data of the app at least once in every 7 days to avoid huge data to be synced in a single go and to avoid any data loss.

  1. Short press side button-> sleep -> view sleep record.

  2. To see the detailed sleep pattern, sync your watch with the app

  1. Make sure you wear the watch while sleeping to track the sleep data.

  2. Measure your night sleep automatically. Sleep duration and classification details (Deep, light, REM, Awake) are available on the watch and the app.

  3. Sleep will not be recorded if you have sleep time less than 3 hours.

  4. Sync the watch with the app in the morning to view sleep data.

Note: Data might not be recorded correctly if a lot of movement is noticed between 6-8 AM

  1. Check if the user is having hair, tattoo, skin complexion, scaring, wearing the watch too lose or too tight might affect the readings.

  2. Check if the heart rate sensor which is there on the bottom of the watch is glowing in green or not. If the sensor is working properly the sensor should glow in green colour.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.​

  • spO2 and Heart Rate monitoring is only for the reference, data may not match with the medical equipment. This watch is not a medical grade equipment.

  1. Your watch is tracking the movement if your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected.

  2. Ensure that your app and the watch are synchronized.

General FAQs

  1. Long press the button located on the right side of the Wave Force 2, it would lead to turning the watch on

  2. Raise your wrist to wake up the screen of the watch

  • While the Wave Force 2 is on, long press on the button shut down power off option, this would lead to turning the watch off.

  • Short press the side button from the home screen would lead to opening the menu

  1. While the user is inside the menu, tapping the several icons would lead to entering the different modes on the Wave Force 2 .

  2. There are following mode options on the menu of the Wave Force 2 -

  • Sport – For tracking the exercises done by the users.

  • Heart Rate – For measuring the heart rate of the users.

  • Blood Oxygen – For Measuring the saturation level of oxygen (spO2) in the user’s blood

  • Guided Breathing Mode – For breathing exercise of the users

  • Alarm – To set up alarm for the users

  • Music Control – To control the music from the watch when the users are listening to music (Note :This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols)

  • Timer – To set up timer for the users when in need

  • Settings – To enter in to the settings of the watch

  1. There is total 20 sports modes available in the watch walk, run, cycling, climb, yoga, basketball, football, badminton, skipping, swim, etc. You can access any out of these.

  2. Select any one of the exercises before starting that exercise.

  3. Short press side button and then click on start/pause to start/pause that exercise

  • From the watch home screen > Swipe right to reach the 'Heart Rate' icon >>Tap on Heart Rate >> Your HR measurement will get started, stay still while HR measurement is in progress and you can see the HR value on the screen.

  1. You can measure it on the watch. A user can view the details on the app

  2. Swipe left from the watch home screen > Go to SPO2 > Tap measure.

  3. Post your measurement, Please sync the SPO2 values to your boat Crest app.

1. This feature will allow users to monitor and rate the quality of breathing. Breath exercise (Inhale/Exhale pattern) on the watch for selected duration and rhythm

2. It is a feature available on the watch where users can use it to do breathing exercises.

  1. Swipe right on the home screen of the watch to review the notifications of the connected media device.

  2. Swipe up to the last page to delete all notifications

  1. Inside the menu, click on the ‘Music Control’ icon on the watch to enter into the music control feature

  2. While listening to music users can play, Pause, move back to previous track, jump forward to next track and control the volume of the music.

Note : This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols.

  1. Inside the menu, click on the ‘Shutter’ icon on the watch to access remote camera on the Wave Force 2 Watch

  2. Click again on the camera icon to open the camera app on the media device

  1. Tap on 'More' on the home dashboard. Go to Wave Force 2 features > watch Faces. Under the Watch faces option, select the watch face you want to set on your watch> click apply.

  2. There are 4 default watch faces available on the watch.

  3. Long press on the watch home screen to view default watch faces and add your preferred watch face.

  1. Go to the Menu of the watch

  2. Inside the menu, select the ‘Setting’ option

  3. Inside the ‘Setting’ option, select ‘Brightness’ option.

  4. Brightness could be changed as per users required preference. There are three levels of brightness of the screen present in the Watch Wave Force 2 .

  1. Right swipe on the home page would lead to shortcut menu

  2. There are four functions in the shortcut menu- (i) Activity Tracker (ii) Wellness Mode (iii) Heart Rate & Blood Oxygen (v) Sleep monitor

  • Short press the dial to reach to the menu.

  • Yes. Wave Force 2 does have a camera control feature.

  • Users can also set the background image to any selected watch face from the app.

  • Only Steps data will be synced with the Apple Health and Google Fit app.

There are total 20 sports modes on the watch

  • Your stress can be recorded according to the heart rate variability.

  • 1-29 % relax; 30-59% normal; 60-79% medium; 80-99% high.

  • Yes, users can set individual goals for every sports mode

  1. Open the ‘boAt Crest’ app and you will find “More” on the lower right-hand side on the homepage of the app.

  2. Click on it and go to Settings-> My goals.

  3. Tap on the Steps Goal option. You can set your daily step targets in StepsGoals.

Note: The steps can also be modified later according to your convenience.

  1. The green lights are used to monitor your heart rate.

  2. There is an optical sensor that detects the passage of the blood and then estimates the heart rate based on that information.

  3. Red light is the blood oxygen sensor.
