Troubleshooting FAQs

Step 1: Via QR Code Scanning

  • Find the QR code on the product manual of the Wanderer for installing the boAt Wanderer App on the media devices of the users.

  • Open the QR Code Scanner app on the user’s devices and scan the code present on the user manual of the Wanderer. Thereafter, follow the on-screen instructions to install the boAt Wanderer app on the user’s device.

Step 2: Via searching the App on Google Play or Apple Play Store

  • On Google Play or Apple App Store, in the search-bar, type ‘boAt Wanderer’ and enter search.

    You will see the boAt Wanderer app in the search result list.

  • Click on the install button to install boAt Wanderer app on the user’s media device.

Step 1:

First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above.

1. Download the boAt Wanderer application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

2. When you open the app, and login.

3. Turn to registration code interface, scan QR code to bind the watch.

4. After sim card is inserted or the watch is connected to Wi-Fi, the QR code interface will generate a binding code.

5. On Bind page, tab “Bind code” to enter and obtain the code.

6. Register your email and login by entering the email, code and choosing the area and language.

Step 2: SIM- Card Installation

1. Pull out the SIM Card via SIM card ejector.

2. Put the Sim Card into the card slot, chip upside and insert it back.

3. Restart the watch after the SIM is inserted.

4. Choose the SIM card operator that supports 4G network sim card type: NANO SIM card only.

Note: Before you start using watch, please make sure SIM card is active and able to use 4G data.



Step 1: Make sure you have inserted an active SIM in the watch and has 4G data.

Step 2: Restart the watch after the SIM is inserted.

Step 3: After sim card is inserted or the watch is connected to Wi-Fi, the QR code interface will generate a binding code.

Step 4: Enter the code and pair the watch.

Step 5: Watch will be connected now

Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above. It is necessary to accept and agree to all the terms and permissions including the location services also.

1. Yes, step counting, Heart rate monitoring, calorie count and sports modes can be recorded directly on your watch while your phone is not connected

2. Watch has some internal memory to record this data.

3. Once you are in contact with your phone, you can sync the data to the app.

1. Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable which comes with the watch package on the charging pad of the watch which is located on the back of the watch and connect the other end which is an USB-A end to a 5V, 2A rated power adapter or power bank or a computer.

2. The Wanderer display would show the charging status and charging percentage while charging.

Note: If the Wanderer is connected to a computer USB port for charging, the speed of charging would be less as the power pushed by the USB port of a computer is less than the 5V 2A rated power adapter

  1. Check if the charging connector behind the watch is clean and rust free.

  2. Try cleaning it with an alchohol swab.

  3. If the problem still persists, kindly replace the product.

Battery charge status is shown on the watch homepage with the percentage of the charge remaining on the watch Wanderer’s battery. 

1. Before using the Wanderer the first time, please fully charge the smartwatch first.

2. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

3. Any other accessories could be used for charging Wanderer as long as the above norms are followed.

1. Make sure call alert and message alert are enabled from the app.

2. Sync the watch after enabling these features

3. Even if the notifications are not coming, switch off and on the watch again

4. Try uninstalling and installing the boAt Wanderer and then start binding process with the watch and check if the issue is still persisting or not.

5. Reset the watch and check if the function is working or not.

6. Check if the SIM or Wi-Fi is working

We have designed the watch so that the display is active on a slight flick of the wrist. The tracker may take a second or two to light up the screen.

Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid

1. Check if the user is having hairs, tattoo, skin complexion, scaring, wear the watch too lose or too tight might affect the readings.

2. Check if the heart rate sensor which is there on the bottom of the watch is glowing in green or not. If the sensor is working properly the sensor should glow in green colour.

3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid

The spO2 and Heart Rate monitoring is only for the reference, data may not match with the medical equipment. This watch is not a medical grade equipment.

Your watch is tracking the movement if your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected.

General FAQs

1. Long press the button located on the right side of Wanderer it would lead to turning the watch on

2. Raise your wrist to wake up the screen of the watch

While the Wanderer is on, long press on the button shut down power off option, this would lead to turning the watch off.

Long press for 3s to send emergency call. (Need to set emergency call person in app).

Swiping left from the home screen would lead to opening the menu

Click on steps, and track the number of daily steps

1. On “Chat Page”, press and hold “Hold to talk” to record and to release to send voice messages.

2. Click the un-read messages to play voice messages.

1. Inside the menu, click on the ‘Camera icon to take pictures

2. You can view and delete photos in “Album.”

3. Slide right on main interference to enter camera

Select contact and select video chat. Since two-way video call will use data, you may also connect to Wi-Fi.

On “Add Friends” page, one-tap to make friends and it will search to add friends automatically

1. Swipe Up on the home page would lead to shortcut menu.

2. There are five functions in the shortcut menu- (i) Daily Activity (ii) Heart Rate Monitor (iii) stress monitor (iv) Sleep monitor

3. Swipe left to reach to the menu.

Yes, the strap is replaceable.

1. The green lights are used to monitor your heart rate.

2. There is an optical sensor that detects the passage of the blood and then estimates the heart rate based on that information.
