Troubleshooting FAQs

Process 1: Via QR Code

Find the QR code on the product manual of Ultima Select for installing the Wearables App on the media devices of the users.

Open the QR Code Scanner app on the user’s devices and scan the code present on the user manual of the Ultima Select

Thereafter, follow the on-screen instructions to install the Wearables App on the user’s device.

Process 2: ​Via Searching the app on Google Play or Apple Play Store

  1. On Google Play or Apple App Store, in the search bar, type ‘boAt Wearables App’ and enter search.

  2. You will see the boAt Wearables app in the search result list.

  3. Click on the install button to install boAt Wearables app on the user’s media device.

First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 10 and above.

  1. Download the boAt Wearables application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  2. When you open the app, please allow all permissions.

  3. Register with your mobile number by accepting the terms and

  4. conditions.

  5. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.

  6. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find ULTIMA SELECT smartwatch in the available device list.

  7. Click on the ULTIMASELECT_XXXX to pair the ULTIMA SELECT Smartwatch with your phone.

  8. This will complete the pairing process after which the ULTIMA SELECT Smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

  • First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above.

  • It is necessary to accept and agree to all the terms and permissions, including the location services also.

  • It is always recommended to deny the permission for Battery saver / Battery Optimization to enable the background data

  1. Download the boAt Wearables application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.

  2. When you open the app, please allow all permissions.

  3. Register your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.

  4. You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.

  5. Follow the instructions on the App and you will find Ultima Select

  6. Smartwatch in the available device list. Click on the ULTIMASELECT_XXXX pair the Ultima Select Smartwatch with your phone.

  7. This will complete the pairing process after which the Smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

  1. The operational distance for the Bluetooth is 10m. It is ideal that phone and watch is in direct contact with each other.

  2. If still the Bluetooth is disconnecting, close the app, switch off and on the Bluetooth and start the app again.

  3. Make sure the app is running in background always.

  1. Make sure your phone and watch are connected through Bluetooth.

  2. Click on the BT call icon on the top left corner of the home dashboard (initially it will be red).

  3. Click on Pair Now.

  4. A popup for pairing with ULTIMASELECT_XXXX should come. Click on Pair & connect.

  5. BT call will be connected now and the BT call icon on the home dashboard will appear green

  1. Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable which comes with the watch package on the charging pad of the watch which is located on the back of the watch and connect the other end to a 5V, 2A rated power adapter or power bank or a computer.

  2. The watch’s display would show the charging status and charging percentage while charging.

Note : If the watch is connected to a computer USB port for charging, the speed of charging would be less as the power pushed by the USB port of a computer is less than the 5V/2A rated power adapter

  1. Check if the charging connector behind the watch is clean and rust free.

  2. Try cleaning the charging pins with an alchohol swab / a cotton bud dipped slighly in sanitizer spirit. Once cleaned, wipe the surface with a dry cotton to not let any moisture retain on it.

  3. Ensure that the charger specification is of 5V 2A (Output)

  • Battery charge status is shown on the watch homepage with the percentage of the charge remaining on the watch Ultima Select’s battery. 

  1. Before using the Watch Ultima Select for the first time, please fully charge the smartwatch first.

  2. Charging through wall adapter – Specifications of the adapter: 5V, 2A

  3. Any other accessories could be used for charging the Watch Ultima Select as long as the above norms are followed.

  1. Make sure the smart reminders on the app are On and synced to the Ultima Select.

  2. Also, ensure your notification center of the phone is displaying messages. Only then your smart watch will display those notifications.

  3. Even if the notifications are not coming, switch off your phone’s Bluetooth and again switch on OR restart your phone

  4. Try uninstalling and installing the boAt Wearables and then start the binding process with the watch and check if the issue is still persisting or not.

  5. Ensure that the App is running in the background and battery optimization feature on the phone is disabled.

  6. Reset the watch and check if the function is working or not.

  • Your watch is tracking the movement if your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected

  1. To sync the data to the boAt Wearables app, connect the Ultima Select to the media device via the boAt Wearables app and go to the app’s homepage, drag down the screen. This will start the syncing process and data will be synced to the app.

  2. Make sure you are in Bluetooth range and watch and Wearable app are nearby when you are syncing the data.

  3. If the app is taking too long time to sync or it gets stuck while syncing, unbind the device with the app and reconnect again.

Note: Try to sync the data of the app at least once in every 7 days to avoid huge data to be synced in a single go and to avoid any data loss.

  1. Long press the side button and check if the watch is switching on or not. Flicking the wrist is enabling waking up the watch display or not.

  2. Check to charge the watch fully with the magnetic charging cable supplied with it via 5V 2A charging adapter or via a power bank or via a computer.

  3. Clean the charging pins with an alcohol swab and then connect with the charger to check if the watch started taking charge

  1. We have designed the watch so that the display is active on a slight flick of the wrist. The tracker may take a second or two to light up the screen.

  2. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid

  1. Short press side button-> sleep -> view sleep record.

  2. To see the detailed sleep pattern, sync your watch with the app

  1. Check if the user has hair, tattoo, skin complexion, scaring, wear the watch too lose or too tight might affect the readings.

  2. Check if the heart rate sensor which is there on the bottom of the watch is glowing in green or not. If the sensor is working properly the sensor should glow in green colour.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.

  • Your watch is tracking the movement of your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected.

  • Blood pressure monitoring is only for the reference, data may not match with the medical equipment. This watch is not a medical grade equipment.

  • Make sure your watch is connected to your phone through the app and not your phone’s Bluetooth feature itself.

  • In order to access watch faces from the app, users should log in to the app first

General FAQs

Power On :

  1. Long press the button located on the upper side of the Ultima Select it would lead to turning the watch On

  2. Raise your wrist to wake up the screen of the watch

Power Off : While the Ultima Select on, long press on the side button for shut down power off option, this would lead to turning the watch off.

  • Swiping right would lead to opening the menu

  • Swipe left on the home page would lead to shortcut menu

  • There are five functions in the shortcut menu :

  1. Daily Activity

  2. Sleep

  3. Heart Rate Monitor

  4. SpO2

  5. Weather

  • While the user is inside the menu, tapping the several icons would lead to entering the different modes on the Ultima Select

  • There are following mode options on the menu of the Ultima Select

  1. Steps: For tracking daily activities like step count, distance travelled, etc by the users.

  2. Heart Rate: For measuring the heart rate of the users.

  3. Blood Oxygen: For Measuring the saturation level of oxygen (spO2) in the user’s blood

  4. Sleep Mode: For measuring the sleep hours of the users

  5. Breathing Mode: For breathing exercise of the users

  6. Alarm: To set up alarm for the users

  7. Player: To control the music from the watch when the users are listening to music (Note : This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols)

  8. Shutter: To control the camera from the watch and click photos

  9. Timer: To set up timer for the users when in need

  10. Settings: To enter the settings of the watch

  1. There are multiple sports modes available in multiple sports modes like Walking, Running, Cycling, Skipping, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Swimming, Climbing, Rugby, Golf, and Yoga.

  2. Select any one of the exercises before starting that exercise.

  3. You can also add or replace the activities according to your preference through the watch.

  4. Swipe left or short press side button to start/pause that exercise.

  5. Only one activity will be replaced on the watch.

  1. On the App home dashboard> Tap on "Heart rate” card and you can view all your historical heart rate readings.

  2. You can view your Min and Max HR for the day. You can also access the history by tapping on the history icon and can also filter the details based on a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly basis.

  1. You can measure it on the watch. A user can view the details on the app.

  2. Swipe left from the watch home screen >> Go to SPO2>> Tap measure.

  3. Post your measurement, please sync the SPO2 values to your boAt Wearables app

  • Open the music player on your phone, select a song which you want to play, and control from music (play/pause/next/previous/volume up down)

Note:

  1. Make sure you enable player from the app first

  2. Make sure the watch is connected with the app

  1. Open the ‘boAt Wearables’ app and you will find “More” on the lower right-hand side on the home page of the app.

  2. Click on it and go to Settings and

  3. Inside Setting, you will find the Sleep Goal. You can set your Sleep Goal under this option.

  1. This feature will allow users to check all the messages received on the phone. Swipe right from the home dashboard>Go to messages feature.

  2. You can also check the messages by swiping up from the home screen

  1. Inside the menu, click on the “Player” icon on the watch to enter into the music control feature

  2. While listening to music users can play, Pause, move back to previous track, jump forward to next track, and control the volume of the music.

Note: This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols.

  2. Click again on the camera icon to open the camera app on the media device

  • Long press on the watch home screen to view default watch faces, select and add your preferred watch face.
