Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. Press & hold the Power button to switch the speakers ON.

  2. There will be a prompt as well as the rapid blinking of the mentioned LED indicator light. 

  3. Turn ON the Bluetooth function of your device and search for “Rockerz Apex" in the list of available devices. 

  4. Choose “Rockerz Apex” from the list and if asked then enter the pairing password ‘0000’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  5. After successful pairing, the speaker is now ready to play music from your device.

  6. The speaker will automatically get connected to this device when switched ON if it is in range and the Bluetooth mode is ON.

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue LED light ON the device starts flashing alternately.

  2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, long press the multi-function button and long touch bottom portion of the touch sensor for 5 seconds at the same time. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

  4. Check if the connected device supports Bluetooth connections.

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter '0000' or '1234'.

  6. Check to see if the connected device to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth and update the mobile software.

  1. Check to Pair the boAt Rockerz Apex to the first phone as per the usual pairing procedure, then switch it off. Then switch on the earphone again and enter pairing mode, enable Bluetooth function in the second phone, find the earphone’s Pairing Name “boAt Rockerz Apex" and pair to the second phone per the usual procedure. Switch off the earphones one more time. Then simply switch ON the earphones, without entering pairing mode (a short press until the white light comes on). The earphone should automatically re-connect to the last connected phone (which is the second phone). Then find headset “boAt Rockerz Apex" in the first phone’s Bluetooth setting, and select this to pair to the first phone. Both phones should now be paired to the earphone.

  2. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  1. Use the Micro USB cable to connect headphones to your computer or adaptor device made for USB charging. 

  2. A Red LED indicator will turn ON when the headphones are charging.

  3. The Red LED will turn OFF when the headphones are fully charged.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  2. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.

  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.

  4. Check using different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  1. Check to see if the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  2. Check to see if the microphone is being held at an adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

Power ON: Press & hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  1. Volume Up: Swipe up from ‘-‘ to top portion of Touch sensor to increase the volume.

  2. Volume Down: Swipe down from ‘+’ to bottom portion of Touch sensor.

  1. Spatial sound comes as a default setting. Simply double tap the touch ring to switch to boAt signature sound.
