Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, separate the left and right earbuds to switch On the wireless neckband and put them into pairing mode. The neckbands will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 80 Pro’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 80 Pro’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the blue LED flashes once in every 5 seconds to indicate the same.

Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 min. if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode –when switched off, separate the left and right earbuds to switch on the wireless neckband and put them into pairing mode. The red and blue LED lights on the device start flashing alternately to indicate this

  2. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, Press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.

  3. The device should be in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections

  5. In case it is a passcode issue then enter '0000' or '1234'

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Factory reset the device.

  3. Check if the same problem happens for different devices and media players.

  4. Check if there are any obstructions between the earphones and the device and clear them- move the device at a closer range to the earphones and see if it still affects it.

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device then turn off the Bluetooth of the first device and turn off the earphones.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device and then turn on Bluetooth of the first device. The earphones will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to pair boAt Rockerz 80 Pro to the first phone as per usual pairing procedure. Select “boAt Rockerz 80 Pro” from the list of available Bluetooth devices and then switch off both the earphones and the Bluetooth of the first phone.

  2. After this, switch on the earphones. Then turn on the Bluetooth function of the second phone.

  3. Scan and search the earphone’s pairing name “boAt Rockerz 80 Pro” and pair to the second phone. Then simply switch on the first phone’s Bluetooth.

  4. The earphones should reconnect to the first phone and both phones should now be paired to the earphones.

  5. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them

  • To charge the neckband, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the neckbands and connect the other end to a computer or wall adapter

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  1. Low Battery : When the remaining talk time is less than 20%, ‘Low Battery’ prompt is made through the neckbands every 10 minutes and red LED flashes quickly to indicate it.

  2. Charging : Solid red LED indicates that the neckbands are being charged. (Note: neckband cannot be turned on while charging)

  3. Fully Charged : Once the neckbands are fully charged, it is indicated by the red LED getting turned off.

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Reset the device or clear the paired devices list.

  3. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  4. Ensure that there are no obstruction between your Rockerz 80 Pro and the connected device and they are within the Bluetooth range (10 meters).

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  5. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire or to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully- double press the MFB to activate the smart voice assistant; this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

Power On :

  1. When switched off, separate the left and right earbuds to switch on the wireless neckband.

Power Off : In powered On state, unite both the left and right earbuds to switch off the wireless neckband

  1. Unpair/forget your neckband from the connected device.

  2. Press and hold both the MFB (multifunction button) and volume ‘-‘ buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

  3. The purple LED flashes for a second to indicate this.

  • Short press the MFB (multifunction button) once to answer an incoming call or end an ongoing call

  • Double press the MFB in the call ring status when you receive an incoming call, and the call will get rejected.

  • While playing music, short press the MFB (multifunction button) to play/pause the music.

  • Previous Track : While playing music, press and hold volume (-) button for 2 seconds to move to the previous track or start the track from the beginning.

  • Double press the MFB (multifunction button) to activate ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices

  • Short press the BEAST mode button to activate/deactivate low latency mode.

  • ASAP Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (may vary under some circumstance) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time. ​

  • For ASAP charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with TYPE –C 5V 2A specification.

  • Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening.

  • Rockerz 80 Pro does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • boAt Rockerz 80 Pro earphones are IPX4 certified which means they can withstand up to low pressure water jet spray but cannot withstand being submerged in water. It is recommended not to use these earphones during swimming sessions.
