Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 4 seconds to switch the headphones on and put them into pairing mode. The earphones will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 551ANC’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 551ANC’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the blue LED flashes once in every 5 seconds to indicate the same.

Note: The headphone automatically turns off after 5 mins if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue LED light on the device starts flashing alternately.

  2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, Press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter 0000 or 1234

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software

  1. Check to Pair the boAt Rockerz 551ANC to first phone as per usual pairing procedure, then switch it off. Then switch on the earphone again and enter pairing mode, enable Bluetooth function in second phone, find earphone’s Pairing Name “boAt Rockerz 551ANC" and pair to second phone per usual procedure.

  2. Switch off earphone one more time. Then simply switch on earphone, without entering pairing mode (a short press until white light comes on).

  3. The earphone should automatically re-connect to the last connected phone (which is the second phone). Then find headset “boAt Rockerz 551ANC" in first phone’s Bluetooth setting, select this to pair to first phone. Both phones should now be paired to the earphone.

  4. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  1. Unpair / forget the device name from your BT list of paired devices.

  2. Long press the MFB (Multi-function Button) and Volume Down ('-') button simultaneously for 4 seconds. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

    Note: The Volume '–' button should be pressed slightly earlier

  • To charge the device, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the device’s charge port and connect the other end to a computer or wall adapter

  1. Low Battery : When the remaining talk time is less than 10 minutes, ‘Low Battery’ prompt is made through the earphones in every minute and red LED flashes quickly to indicate it.

  2. Charging : Solid red LED indicates that the earphones are being charged. (Note: Headphones shouldn’t be turned on while charging)

  3. Fully Charged : Once the headphones are fully charged, it is indicated by solid blue LED indicator

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Reset the device or clear the paired devices list.

  3. Check to see if the earcups have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  4. Ensure that there are no obstruction between your Rockerz 551 ANC and the connected device and they are within the Bluetooth range (10 meters).

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  2. Ensure the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  4. Now check if your voice is getting recorded on a voice recorder to understand if your mic is working.

  5. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire or to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A (Output) Chargers.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Unpair/ forget the device, reset and pair again.

  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls.

  4. Check if the controls do not function on call or other media players

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstance, this featuremay or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

  • Power On:

  1. In power off mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 4 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  • For ASAP charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with TYPE –C 5V 3A specification.

  • Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening.

  • Rockerz 551ANC does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming

  2. Once connected with your device, the processors initiate internal run for low latency automatically.

  • boAt Rockerz 551 ANC headphones are not IPX4 certified which means it cannot withstand water jet spray and cannot withstand submerging it into the water. It is recommended not to use it during swimming sessions.
