Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 3 seconds to switch the earphones on and put them into pairing mode. The earphones will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 378’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 378’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the blue LED flashes every 10 seconds to indicate the same.

Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 mins if no connection is established within this time.

  1. In order to pair, the device should be in pairing mode (indicated by Red & Blue LEDs) – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the Red and Blue LEDs on the device start flashing alternately.

  2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and there are no obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device. While in pairing LEDs (Red & Blue) are blinking alternately, press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" buttons together for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices. After this turn Off the device, Power it On and then connect it.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter 0000 or 1234

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software

  1. Go to Bluetooth settings and unpair the Rockerz 378 from the connected device

  2. Power On the Rockerz 378 and wait till the pairing LEDs (Alternate Red & Blue) start blinking for the product to be in pairing mode.

  3. While in pairing mode, press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" buttons together for about 5 seconds to reset / clear the list of paired devices. During these 5 seconds a solid LED will flash for 1 second (the LED will remain stable for 1 second) indicating a successful reset.

  4. Now turn Off the earphones. After a few seconds, power it On and wait till the pairing LEDs (Alternate Red & Blue) start to blink. Once your Rockerz 378 is in pairing mode, freshly pair and connect it.

  • Red and blue LEDs light up automatically and enter the pairing state after flashing thrice simultaneously.

  • To charge the earphone, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the earphones and connect the other end to a computer or wall adapter

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  1. Low Battery: When the remaining talk time is less than 10 minutes, ‘Low Battery’ prompt is made through the earphones in every minute and red LED flashes quickly to indicate it.

  2. Charging: Solid red LED indicates that the earphones are being charged. (Note: Earphone cannot be turned on while charging)

  3. Fully charged: Once the earphones are fully charged, it is indicated by the LED indicator getting turned off

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Reset the device or clear the paired devices list.

  3. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  4. Ensure that there are no obstruction between your Rockerz 378 and the connected device and they are within the Bluetooth range (10 meters).

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  1. Try resetting your Rockerz 378.

  2. Ensure the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire or to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A (Output) Chargers.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Unpair/ forget the device, reset and re-pair it.

  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls.

  4. Check if the controls do not function on call or other media players

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstance, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

  • Power ON:

  1. In power off mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 3 seconds. A tone prompt confirms the same.

  2. The blue LED flashes for 1 second.

  • Power OFF:

  1. In any mode, press and hold the MFB for 5 seconds. A tone confirms the same.

  2. The red flashes for 1 second and the device gets turned off.

  1. Short press the volume +/- button in steps to increase/decrease the volume.

  2. There will be a ‘tone’ when the sound volume reaches its maximum or minimum

  • While playing music, short press the MFB once to play/pause the music.

  1. Answer Call: Short press the MFB once to receive an incoming call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get answered.

  2. End Call: Short press the MFB once to end an ongoing call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get ended.

  • Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds in the call ring status. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get rejected.

  1. Previous Track: While playing music, press and hold volume (-) button for 2 seconds to move to the previous track.

  2. Next Track: While playing music, press and hold volume (+) button for 2 seconds to move to the next track

  1. Single press the Quick Switch button to switch to Low Latency (BEAST™) mode infused with Spatial Bionic Sound Tuned by THX™.

  2. Once switched on, it gets notified via a prompt.

  3. Single press the Quick Switch button to turn off BEAST Mode and Spatial Bionic Sound.

  • Single press and then quickly long press the MFB for 2 seconds to wake up ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices

  • Rockerz 378 does feature 65 ms low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • Device has a dedicated button to activate Beast Mode

  • boAt Rockerz 378 earphones are IPX4 certified which means it can withstand up to low pressure water jet spray but it cannot withstand submerging it into the water. It is recommended not to use it during swimming sessions.
