Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. Switch the earphones on; both the earphones automatically enter the Connection Mode.

  2. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan.

  3. Search for ‘Rockerz 261 Pro’ and tap on the same for pairing & connect via Bluetooth.

  4. If asked for a passcode, enter the pairing code as “0000” to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  5. Once connected, solid white LED flashes for 1 second and then turns off to show successful pairing.

  1. Check to see if the earphones are in pairing mode indicated by alternate red and white LED flashes.

  2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device: press the MFB on the left earphone 3 times to clear the list of paired devices.

  4. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so, enter ‘0000’.

  5. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – check to forget the device on Bluetooth, and update the mobile software, if it still does not work, try factory resetting the device.

  • Rockerz 261 Pro can be connected to 2 devices at once. To enable this feature, following steps are to be taken:

  1. Pair Rockerz 261 Pro neckband earphones with your first media device via Bluetooth.

  2. Turn off both the earphones and the Bluetooth on this device.

  3. Switch on the earphones and the Bluetooth on your second media device to pair.

  4. Finally, switch on the Bluetooth of the first media device again.

Congratulations! Your earphones are now connected to both your devices successfully via Bluetooth.

Note: If the earphones are not connected, try connecting to the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to pair boAt Rockerz 261 Pro to the first phone as per the usual pairing procedure- Select “boAt Rockerz 261 Pro” from the list of available Bluetooth devices and then switch off both the earphones and the Bluetooth of the first phone. After this, switch on the earphones. Then turn on the Bluetooth function of the second phone. Scan and search the earphone’s pairing name “boAt Rockerz 261 Pro” and pair it to the second phone. Then simply switch on the first phone’s Bluetooth. The earphones should reconnect to the first phone and both phones should now be paired to the earphones.

  2. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Check if the same problem happens for different devices and media players.

  3. Check if there are any obstructions between the earphones and the device and clear them- move the device at a closer range to the earphones and see if this still affects it.

  4. Try factory resetting the earphones.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first- Solid red LED will turn off to indicate that the earphones are fully charged.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device- use only 5V/2A chargers.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  • Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.

  • Check using different media players and different devices and whether the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.

  4. Check using different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  2. Check to see the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.

  5. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  2. Check to forget the device and re-pair it.

  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls.

General FAQs

  • Power ON: To power on the earphones, press and hold the MFB on the left earphone for 2 seconds. The white LED flashes for 1 second to indicate the same.

  • Power OFF: Press and hold the MFB on the left earphone for 5 seconds to manually power off the earphones. The red LED flashes for 1 second to indicate the same.

To perform a reset on your Rockerz 261 Pro:

NOTE: Before performing reset, clear "Rockerz 261 Pro" from the pairing device history by forgetting the device.

  1. In power On state, (when the white LED flashes for 1 second), press the MFB on the left earphone 3 times to clear the list of paired devices.

  2. After successful factory reset: Red and white LEDs flash alternatively on the earphones to indicate the same. Congratulations! Your Rockerz 261 Pro has been reset.

  3. Wait for a few seconds and perform a fresh Bluetooth connection

  • Single tap the left earphone CTC to answer an incoming call or end an ongoing call.

  • Long touch the CTC on the left earphone for 2 seconds to reject incoming calls

  • While playing music, single tap on the left earbud CTC to pause or play the track

  1. While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s CTC to return to the previous track.

  2. While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s CTC to skip to the next track

  1. Swipe from bottom to top direction on the left touch control panel to increase the volume. There will be a ‘tone’ when the sound volume reaches its maximum level.

  • Tap the CTC on the left earphone 4 times to activate the default smart voice assistant (Google Voice Assistant/Siri).

  • ASAP™ Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It is recommended you follow the charging norms mentioned in the product smart guide.

  1. To charge the earphones, connect the magnetic end of the provided USB-Magnetic cable into the magnetic charging interface on the left earphone and connect the other end to a laptop or a wall adapter or a power bank.

  • Before using the earphones for the first time, it is recommended to fully charge them.

  • Please note that the earphones cannot be used/switched on while charging.
