Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, separate both the earbuds from each other to switch the earphones on and put them into pairing mode. The earphones will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the white and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 255 Max’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 255 Max’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the white LED flashes once in every 5 seconds to indicate the same.

    Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 mins if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue LED light ON the device starts flashing alternately.

  2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, long press both the volume buttons for 5 seconds at the same time. The white LED stays on for 2 seconds to indicate the same. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

  4. Check if the connected device supports Bluetooth connections.

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter '0000' or '1234'.

  6. Check to see if the connected device to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth and update the mobile software.

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device then turn off the Bluetooth of the first device and turn off the earphones.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device and then turn on the Bluetooth of the first device. The earphone will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to Pair the boAt Rockerz 255 Max to first phone as per usual pairing procedure, then switch it off. Then switch on the earphone again and enter pairing mode, enable Bluetooth function in second phone, find earphone’s Pairing Name “boAt Rockerz 255 Max" and pair to second phone per usual procedure. Switch off earphone one more time. Then simply switch on earphone, without entering pairing mode (a short press until white light comes on). The earphone should automatically re-connect to the last connected phone (which is the second phone). Then find headset “boAt Rockerz 255 Max" in first phone’s Bluetooth setting, select this to pair to first phone. Both phones should now be paired to the earphone.

  2. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  • Unpaire the device from bluetooth and then power it On.

  2. A Red LED indicator will turn ON when the headphones are charging.

  3. The Red LED will turn OFF when the headphones are fully charged.

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  2. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.

  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.

  5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  • Power ON:

  • Long pressing the multi-function button for 2 seconds will lead to activating ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices

  • Double press the multi-function button to switch among the EQ modes, viz. Signature Mode (Bass-centric); Pop Mode or Balanced Mode.

  • Triple press the multi-function button to switch to low latency mode also known as BEAST Mode. Triple press the multi-function button again to return to normal music mode.

  • For ASAP charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with TYPE –C 5V 3A specification.

  • ASAP Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (which may vary under some circumstances) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time.

  • Yes, it does. But for this codec to work, the media device must have this feature supported too.

  • Rockerz 255 Max does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology is used for noise canceling and enhancing selective listening.

  • This does not need any trigger for it to activate. Once connected with your device, the processors initiate internal run for low latency automatically.

  • boAt Rockerz 255 Max earphones are IPX4 certified which means it can withstand up to low pressure water jet spray but it cannot withstand submerging it into the water. It is recommended not to use it during swimming sessions.
