Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, separate the left and right magnetic buds from each other to switch on the earphones. The blue LED flashes for 1 second to indicate this. The earphones will automatically enter pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the pairing mode.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 255 ANC’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 255 ANC’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once connected, solid Blue LED flashes for 3 seconds to show successful pairing.

Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 minutes if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Check to see if the earphones are in pairing mode indicated by alternate red and blue LED flashes.

  2. Ensure the device to be in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device: In pairing mode (when the blue and red LEDs flash), press and hold the ANC and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to clear the list of paired devices. A purple LED flashes for 1 second to indicate the same.

  4. Check to see if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connection.

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter ‘0000’.

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software, if it still does not work, try factory resetting the device.

  • Rockerz 255 ANC can be connected to 2 devices at once. To enable this feature, following steps are to be taken:

  1. Pair Rockerz 255 ANC neckband earphones with your first media device via Bluetooth.

  2. Turn off both the earphones and the Bluetooth on this device.

  3. Switch on the earphones and the Bluetooth on your second media device to pair.

  4. Finally, switch on the Bluetooth of the first media device again. Congratulations! Your earphones are now connected to both your devices successfully via Bluetooth.

  • If the earphones are not connected, try connecting the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to pair boAt Rockerz 255 ANC to the first phone as per usual pairing procedure. Select “boAt Rockerz 255 ANC” from the list of available Bluetooth devices and then switch off both the earphones and the Bluetooth of the first phone. After this, switch on the earphones. Then turn on the Bluetooth function of the second phone. Scan and search the earphone’s pairing name “boAt Rockerz 255 ANC” and pair to the second phone. Then simply switch on the first phone’s Bluetooth. The earphones should reconnect to the first phone and both phones should now be paired to the earphones.

  2. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  • Please ensure that there are no objects between the earphones and your wireless device. Also, please ensure that there is no radio or Wi-Fi interference nearby.

  1. To charge the earphones, plug one end of the provided USB Type-C cable into the earphones and connect the other end to a laptop or a wall adapter or a power bank.

  2. During charging, Red LED remains solid ON

  3. Once the charging is complete, red LED turns OFF

  1. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

  2. Charging through cable/wire – Standard cable: 35 strands @0.10mm diameter/strand

  3. Any other accessory can be used for charging the earphones as long as the above norms are followed.

  1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. If yes then go to the Equalizer settings on your phone and set it to Default / Normal / None / Zero.

  2. Check if the problem occurs at all levels of charging or only at low charging levels.

  3. Check if the earphones do not have water droplets, in case they do, use a blow dryer from a distance to dry out any water.

  4. Check if the earphones are clogged with ear wax. If yes, simply clean the earphones with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance to restore the original sound.

  5. If all the above does not work then try resetting the device.

  1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.

  2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  1. Check to see if the microphone is not being blocked by any particles. Try to clean it if possible.

  2. Try factory resetting your neckabnd

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at an adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  4. Ensure that the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid or to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A Chargers.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Check to forget the device, reset and then re-pair it.

  3. Check if the media player supports the controls.

  4. Check if the controls do not function on-call or on other media players

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, press the MFB 3 times to activate the voice assistant; this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.
