Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, press, and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 3 seconds to switch the earphones on and put them into pairing mode. The earphones will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the white and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 245v2 Pro’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 245v2 Pro’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the white LED flashes once every 5 seconds to indicate the same.

    Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 mins if no connection is established within this time.

  1. In order to pair, the device should be in pairing mode (indicated by Red & Blue LEDs) – Hold the multi-function button / power botton for 5 seconds until the Red and Blue LEDs on the device start flashing alternately.

  2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and there are no obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device. Power Off the device and then long press the power button for 10 seconds to clear paired list of devices.The blue and red LEDs flashes together for 5 seconds to indicate the same. After this turn Off the device, Power it On and then connect it.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter 0000 or 1234

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device then turn off the Bluetooth of the first device and turn off the earphones.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device and then turn on Bluetooth of the first device. The earphones will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to pair boAt Rockerz 245v2 Pro to the first phone as per usual pairing procedure. Select “boAt Rockerz 245v2 Pro” from the list of available Bluetooth devices and then switch off both the earphones and the Bluetooth of the first phone.

  2. After this, switch on the earphones. Then turn on the Bluetooth function of the second phone.

  3. Scan and search the earphone’s pairing name “boAt Rockerz 245 V2 PRO” and pair to the second phone. Then simply switch on the first phone’s Bluetooth.

  4. The earphones should reconnect to the first phone and both phones should now be paired to the earphones.

  5. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till there is a solid white LED indication.

  2. Now try resetting the device

  3. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V/2A Chargers.

  4. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire

  1. Unpair the neckband from the connected phone/Laptop

  2. When in pairing mode, long press both the volume ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

  3. The white remains ON for 2 seconds to indicate this.

  • To charge the earphones, plug one end of the USB Type-C cable into the earphones and connect the other end to either a laptop or wall adapter

  1. Low Battery: When the remaining charge of the earphones is less than 20%, a ‘Low Battery’ prompt is made through the earphones every 5 minutes and the red LED flashes 3 times quickly every few seconds to indicate this.

  2. Charging: Solid red LED indicates that the earphones are being charged. (Note: Earphones cannot be turned on while charging)

  3. Fully charged: Once the earphones are fully charged, it is indicated by solid white LED.

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V/2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns OFF.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Reset the device or clear the paired devices list.

  3. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  4. Ensure that there are no obstruction between your Rockerz 245 V2 Pro and the connected device and they are within the Bluetooth range (10 meters).

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  2. Ensure the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  3. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire or to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A (Output) Chargers.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Unpair/ forget the device, reset and re-pair it.

  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls.

  4. Check if the controls do not function on call or other media players

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

General FAQs

  • Power On:

  1. In power off mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 3 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  2. The white LED blinks once to indicate this.

  • Power Off:

  1. In any mode, press and hold the MFB for 5 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  2. The red will flash before the device turns off.

  1. Short press the volume +/- button in steps to increase the volume.

  • Press the multi-function button(MFB) for 1 second to activate ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices(MFB) 3 times to activate BEAST mode. A voice prompt confirms the same.

  • Pressing multi-function button(MFB) 3 times again will deactivate BEAST mode

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device then turn off the Bluetooth of the first device and turn off the earphones.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device and then turn on Bluetooth of the first device. The earphones will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  • Rockerz 245v2 Pro does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • ASAP CHARGE is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (may vary under some circumstance) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time! It is recommended you follow the charging norms mentioned on your user manual.

  • For ASAPTM charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with TYPE –C 5V/2A specification.

  • Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening.

  • Rockerz 245v2 Pro does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • boAt Rockerz 245v2 Pro earphones are IPX5 certified which means they can withstand up to low pressure water jet spray but cannot withstand being submerged in water. It is recommended not to use these earphones during swimming sessions
