Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 5 seconds to switch the neckbands on and put them into pairing mode. The neckbands will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz 109’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘Rockerz 109’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password ‘0000’ / ‘1234’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once successfully connected, the blue LED flashes once in every 5 seconds to indicate the same.

Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 min. if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Ensure the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds until the red and blue LED light on the device starts flashing alternately.

  2. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, Press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.

  3. The device should be in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections

  5. In case it is a passcode issue then enter '0000' or '1234'

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, update the mobile software

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device then turn off the Bluetooth of the first device and turn off the earphones.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device and then turn on Bluetooth of the first device. The earphones will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  1. Check to pair boAt Rockerz 109 to the first phone as per usual pairing procedure. Select “boAt Rockerz 109” from the list of available Bluetooth devices and then switch off both the earphones and the Bluetooth of the first phone.

  2. After this, switch on the earphones. Then turn on the Bluetooth function of the second phone.

  3. Scan and search the earphone’s pairing name “boAt Rockerz 109” and pair to the second phone. Then simply switch on the first phone’s Bluetooth.

  4. The earphones should reconnect to the first phone and both phones should now be paired to the earphones.

  5. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them

  • To charge the neckband, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the neckbands and connect the other end to a computer or wall adapter

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.

  4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  1. Low Battery : When the remaining talk time is less than 20%, ‘Low Battery’ prompt is made through the neckbands every 10 minutes and red LED flashes quickly to indicate it.

  2. Charging : Solid red LED indicates that the neckbands are being charged. (Note: neckband cannot be turned on while charging)

  3. Fully Charged : Once the neckbands are fully charged, it is indicated by the red LED getting turned off.

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied. Go to the connected device's sound settings and set the Equalizer to Normal/ Default/ Zero/ None.

  2. Reset the device or clear the paired devices list.

  3. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  4. Ensure that there are no obstruction between your Rockerz 109 and the connected device and they are within the Bluetooth range (10 meters).

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press the MFB for 1.5 seconds and release; this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

  • Power On :

  1. In power off mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 3 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  2. The blue LED flashes for 1 second to indicate this.

  • Power Off:

  1. In any mode, press and hold the MFB for 5 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same.

  2. The red will flash for 1 second and the device will turn off

  • Short press the volume +/- button in steps to increase or decrease the volume respectively.

  • While playing music, short press the MFB (Multi-Function Button) once to play/pause the music.

  1. Previous Track : While playing music, press and hold volume (-) button for 1.5 seconds to move to the previous track.

  2. Next Track : While playing music, press and hold volume (+) button for 1.5 seconds to move to the next track.

  • Answer Call : Short press the MFB (Multi-Function Button) once to receive an incoming call.

  • End Call : Short press the MFB (Multi-Function Button) once to end an ongoing call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get ended.

  • Double press the MFB (Multi-Function Button) in the call ring status. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get rejected.

  • Long pressing the MFB for 1.5 seconds will lead to activating ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices.

  • Long press the MFB (Multi-Function Button) 3 timess to activate or deactivate low latency BEAST mode.

  • This does not need any trigger for it to activate. Once connected with your device, the processors initiate internal run for low latency automatically

  • ASAP Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (may vary under some circumstance) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time. ​

  • For ASAP charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with TYPE –C 5V 3A specification.

  • Yes, it does. The Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening.

  • Rockerz 109 does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

  • boAt Rockerz 109 earphones are IPX5 certified which means they can withstand up to low pressure water jet spray but cannot withstand being submerged in water. It is recommended not to use these earphones during swimming sessions.
