Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. When switched off, press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 3 seconds to switch the earphones on. The earphones will automatically enter pairing mode. The blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.

  2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘NIRVANA 525ANC’ in the list of available devices.

  3. Choose ‘NIRVANA 525ANC’ from the list and if asked, enter the pairing password as ‘0000’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.

  4. Once confirmed, the blue LED flashes slowly to indicate the successful connection.

Note: The neckband automatically turns off after 5 mins if no connection is established within this time.

  1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds until the red and blue LED light on the device starts flashing alternately.

  2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10 m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, Press and hold the volume "+" button and the volume "-" button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.

  4. Check if the device being connected to supports Bluetooth connection.

  5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter “0000”.

  6. Check to see if the device being connected to does not have any software issues – check to forget the device on Bluetooth and update the mobile software.

  1. Check if the earphones are fully charged. Please ensure that the charging is done till the indicator light turns completely blue.

  2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10 m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  1. Connect the earphones to the first device. Then turn off the earphones and Bluetooth of the first device.

  2. Turn on the earphones and connect to the second device. Again, turn on the Bluetooth of the first device. The earphone will get connected to both the devices.

  3. If not, connect the first device manually once again to activate dual pairing.

  • To charge the earphones, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the earphones and connect the other end to a laptop or wall adapter

  1. Check to see if the charging wire being used is working – check by using another charging wire.

  2. Ensure the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V/2A (output) chargers.

  3. Check if the charging is done till the indicator light turns completely blue.

  4. Make sure the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.

  5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab slightly dipped in alcohol.

  6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable support fast charging.

  • Charging : Solid red LED indicates that the earphones are being charged. (Note: Earphone cannot be turned on while charging)

  • Fully Charged : Once the earphones are fully charged, it is indicated by a solid blue LED.

•Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

•Charging through cable/wire – Standard cable: 35 strands @0.10 mm diameter/strand

•Any other accessories could be used for charging the earphones as long as the above norms are followed

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied or not. If applied then change the equalizer setting to standard/normal and then check the sound of the neckband again.

  2. Try resetting the device.

  3. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (10m) and if there are any obstructions in between the neckband and the media device or not.

  4. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.

  5. Check the sound quality on different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices / media players or only on specific ones.

  6. Check to see if the hearing mesh have ear wax accumulated or not. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and mild alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

  1. Check if connected media device is having any equalizer settings applied or not. If applied then change the equalizer setting to standard/normal and then check the sound of the neckband again.

  2. Check if the issue is occurring on different media players and in different devices or only in a single device or media player.

  3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.

  4. Try factory resetting the device

  1. Check to see the microphone is not being blocked by any particles.

  2. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V/2A Chargers.

  3. Try resetting the device

  4. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposed to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device.

  2. Check to forget the device and re-pair it.

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully- short press once and release, then long press the multifunction button (MFB) for 2 seconds. This should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though in certain circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

  • Power On :

  1. In power off mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 3 seconds. A tone prompt will confirm the same.

  2. The blue LED will flash for 1 second, thereafter red and blue LED flashes occur alternatively.

  • Power Off :

  1. In any mode, press and hold the MFB (Multi-function Button) for 5 seconds. A tone prompt will confirm the same.

  2. The red LED flash once and the device will turn off.

  1. Volume down : Short press the volume +/- button in steps to increase or decrease the volume.

  2. Volume up : There will be a ‘tone’ when the volume reaches its maximum or minimum level.

  1. Answer Call : Short press the multifuction button (MFB) once to receive an incoming call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get answered.

  2. End Call : Short press the multifuction button (MFB) once to end an ongoing call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will end.

  • Press and hold the multifuction button (MFB) for 2 seconds in the call ring status. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get rejected.

  • While playing music, short press the multifuction button (MFB) button once to play/pause the music.

  1. Previous Track : While playing music, press and hold volume (-) button for 2 seconds to return to the previous track

  2. Next Track : While playing music, press and hold volume (+) button for 2 seconds to move to the next track

  1. Long press both the volume buttons for 5 seconds at the same time. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

  2. This is followed by alternate red and blue LED flashes.

  • The Red and blue LEDs light up alternatively to indicate this.

  • Tap once, then release and long press the MFB for 2 seconds to activate ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices.

Note: If the voice assistant is not activated, then the functionality must be first enabled from your media device settings.

  • Short press the ANC button once to switch between Standard, Ambient and ANC (up to 42 dB) modes.

  • Long press the ANC button for 2 seconds to switch between Dolby mode and boAt Signature Sound mode.

Note: Dolby mode remains active by default.

  • ASAP Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (may vary under some circumstance) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback time. It is recommended that you follow the charging norms mentioned on your user manual.

  • For ASAP charge to take place effectively, kindly charge the product with an adapter with USB Type–C 5V/2A specification.

  • Yes, this device is equipped with Dolby Audio. It is natively enabled and doesn’t require any activation or app to be enabled.

  • Yes, these modes will be automatically disabled to preserve battery, and will be re-enabled once the call is disconnected. Although Customers can force turn on these features, if they wish.
