What devices and operating systems are compatible with Crest AI?

Before initiating support, verify that the user meets the following technical requirements:

Supported Devices: Airdopes Prime 701 ANC, Airdopes Prime 800D & Nirvana Ion ANC
Operating System: Android 12 and above
iOS Support: Not Available

How do I set up and activate Crest AI on my boAt device?

Follow the steps below to set-up Crest AI in your boAt device:

Pair the boAt Device to your Android Phone
Download the boAt Hearables App or Update to the latest version on Play Store
Connect product in the App & click on Explore Crest AI
Enter the Serial Number when prompted. Serial Number is available on the packaging or on the product.
If you have purchased the subscription, once you enter the Serial Number (SN), your subscription will be activated
Grant Permissions when prompted for seamless experience
Firmware Update: Ensure you are on the latest Firmware to use Crest AI
Mandatory Hardware Reset: After the FW update, the device must be reset manually to function with AI:

Airdopes: Keep the buds inside charging case & Long press the reset button on the charging case for 10 seconds.
Rockerz: Long press MFB + Power Button for 3 seconds.

How do I activate, deactivate, or reconnect Crest AI?

Activate Crest AI: Long-press the CTC/MFB button to activate the AI. A voice prompt will confirm that Crest AI has been activated.
Deactivate Crest AI: Single-tap the CTC/MFB button at any time to stop the AI session.
Reconnect to the app: If your device asks you to connect to the app, open the boAt Hearables App and tap Explore Crest AI to refresh the connection.

Why isn't the AI responding to my voice?

Ensure you have performed the hardware reset (10s for Airdopes / 3s for Rockerz) after the firmware update. This is the most common reason for failure.

What should I do if I am unable to scan the serial number?

If the app prompts 'Unable to scan serial number', retry scanning the QR code on the product or retail box, or select the option to 'Enter Manually'.

What does it mean if the serial number is incorrect?

This may indicate the device is not compatible with Crest AI. If you believe your device is compatible, please try again later.

Why am I getting an error that my device is already linked to another account?

Crest AI is uniquely linked to your Hearables App login and device. It cannot be used on multiple mobile phones simultaneously.

My device is compatible, but it says I need to buy the pack.

This means your device is compatible, but you have not yet purchased the Crest AI pack. Please visit the D2C website to purchase the pack and activate the features.

My earphones keep saying "Please connect to boAt Hearables App." What should I do?

Open the boAt Hearables app on your phone and click on "Explore Crest AI" to reactivate the connection.

Can I use Crest AI to check my work emails?

Yes, if your Gmail is connected. You can ask it to summarize unread emails or dictate replies hands-free. Please ensure to login to Google account to use.

Which specific models are eligible for this Beta?

Currently, Crest AI is only available for Airdopes Prime 701 ANC, 800D & Nirvana Ion ANC Only.

I have an iPhone. Can I join the Crest AI?

No, Crest AI is currently available for Android 12 & above only. It is not available for iOS at this time.

How do I start the AI session?

You need to long press the CTC (on Airdopes) or the MFB (on Rockerz). You will hear a voice prompt confirming that the AI is active.

How do I stop the AI from listening?

You can single tap the earbud at any time to deactivate the AI. You can also say ‘bye boAt’ to stop.

Why do I need to reset my device after the firmware update?

A manual reset is required to properly register the new AI-enabled firmware. For Airdopes, long press the reset button for 10 seconds; for Rockerz, long press the MFB and Power Button together for 3 seconds.

Can I use Crest AI with Spotify or Apple Music?

For the "Crest Play" feature, the AI specifically searches and queues playlists on YouTube based on your mood or intent.
