Troubleshooting FAQs
Check to see if the device has been properly charged first till the red light turns off from steady.
Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A Chargers.
Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.
Check if the earcups are inserted well into our ear canal and the volume is not at zero level.
Check if the cables are twisted/tangled, if so, untangle them to regain working condition.
Check if the touch controls are working or not while connected to another media device.
Check by forgetting the headphone in the Bluetooth settings of the media device and re-pair the headphone again with the media device.
Check if the media player being used for music supports such controls present in the headphone.
Check if the controls do not function on call or other media players or not.
Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.
Try restarting the headset and mobile device
Try enabling OTG from your settings
If the problem still persists follow below steps:
Connect the dongle to your smartphone
Press MFB/power button for 2 seconds your dongle will be paired.
boAt IM1300 can be paired with most of the Bluetooth devices like Smartphones, Tablets etc. etc. To pair your device with a phone, follow below steps:
1. Press and hold power button for 4 seconds, then release to turn on your headphone.
2. Once your headphone gets powered on, the boAt logo LED starts blinking for few seconds (link mode) followed by Blue & Red color (Pairing mode)
3.Once the device goes into pairing mode, open the Bluetooth manager of the media device, turn on the Bluetooth of the media device and search for ‘IM 1300’ and select the same.
4. Once paired and connected, boAt logo LED starts blinking in Blue colour three times followed by Red, Purple and Blue in cycle.
Note:
The headphones’ profile gets saved once connected successfully and thereafter it can automatically get connected to the media device whenever the Bluetooth is turned on and both the devices are placed close to each other.
Bluetooth mode gets stopped (by default) once the headphone gets connected via 2.4 GHz low latency USB Type-C dongle.
Type-C USB Dongle is stored inside the right Earcup.
1. Plug in the USB Type-C dongle into the USB Type-C port of the media device/smartphone. LED on the dongle blinks in RED colour.
2. Once the headphone is powered on, the boAt logo LED starts blinking for few seconds (Link Mode) followed by Blue & Red colour (Pairing Mode)
3. Once the headphone is connected via the dongle, the LED on the dongle would blink in red, purple and blue sequence in repeat and the headphone LED would blink in three times in purple colour and then red, purple and blue colour sequence.
4. The pairing gets established via Low Latency Mode.
Note: In case the PC or a laptop does not have a dedicated USB Type-C port, a converter might be required for the boAt USB type-C dongle to connect
Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied or not. If applied then change the equalizer setting to standard/normal and then check the sound of the headphone again.
Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (10m) and if there are any obstructions in between the headphone and the media device or not.
Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.
Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.
Check the sound quality on different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices/media players or only on specific ones.
Check to see if the earcups have ear wax accumulated or not. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and mild alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.
Check if connected media device is having any equalizer settings applied or not. If applied then change the equalizer setting to standard/normal and then check the sound of the headphone again.
Check if the issue is occurring on different media players and in different devices or only in a single device or media player.
Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.
Check if the buttons are not stuck between the control board and port. Use a tooth pick to pick out the button to bring it back to position.

Check if the mic hole is not clogged with dirt of sweat. If so, use cotton swab or toothpick to clean out the port holes or a dryer to dry out any water that maybe collected.
