Troubleshooting FAQs

  • Some mobile devices don’t need any settings to be applied to enjoy music through Type-C wired earphones.

  • If you encounter issues like music playing from the phone even when earphones are connected, follow one of the options below-

Option 1: Enable Developer Options  Disable the option of ‘Disable USB Audio routing’  Insert the wired earphones  Enjoy music!

Option 2: Enable Developer Options  Enable OTG connection  Insert the wired earphones  Enjoy music!

Note: When Option 2 is enabled, if the earphones are not used for more than 10 minutes, OTG (On-The-Go) connection gets disabled automatically. This option needs to be enabled again manually.

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.

  2. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.

  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.

  4. Check using different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with cotton swab and alcohol. After doing so, gently blow dry it from a distance.

  2. Check to see if the microphone is being held at the adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.

  3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.

  4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water or dipped in any liquid.

  5. Check to see if the mic hole is not clogged with dirt or sweat. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. After doing so, gently blow dry it from a distance.

General FAQs

  • Connect your boAt BassHeads 100 C with your mobile device via the earphone’s Type-C jack.

  • While playing music, short press the MFB (Multifunction Button) 1 time to pause/play the music.

  • Previous Track : While playing music, press the MFB (Multifunction Button) 3 times to return to the previous track.

  • Next Track : While playing music, press the MFB (Multifunction Button) 2 times to move to the next track.

  1. Short press the MFB (Multifunction Button) once to receive an incoming call or end an ongoing call.

  2. Press and hold the MFB (Multifunction Button) for one second to end an ongoing call.
