Troubleshooting FAQs

1. Check if the device is in pairing mode, indicated by alternating LED flashes on both the earbuds.

2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

3. Clear all your pairing history and perform a fresh connection attempt.

4. If it is a passcode issue then enter 0000 / 1234.

5. If the issue still does not get resolved then perform a factory reset

  1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case, the earbuds will enter into the Connection Mode.

  2. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

  3. Check and see if factory resetting the device work as desired or not.

  4. Check if the earbuds are charging or not. If not then clean the earbuds and the charging case specially the charging pins and connectors with mild alcohol swab and see if it goes in charging mode or not.

Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a reset on your Nirvana Ion:

Note: Before performing a reset, go to settings and forget the device from your phone/laptop

Step 1: Place the earbuds inside the case and let the case lid remain open

Step 2: Long press the case reset button for 10 seconds

Step 3: The case LED flashes red to indicate a successful factory reset

Step 4: Take out earbuds from the case and perform a fresh connection

Congratulations, your Airdopes has been reset!

Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a reset on your Nirvana Ion:

Step 1: Place the earbuds inside the case and let the case lid remain open

Step 2: Long press the case reset button for 10 seconds

Step 4: Take out earbuds from the case and perform a fresh connection

Congratulations, your Airdopes has been reset!

1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.

2. Once the charging is complete, charging case automatically switches off to save power.

To charge the case, plug one end of the cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter or a power bank.

1. Check to see if the wire connected to the case is not broken, use other wires and ensure that the charger being used is not of 9v or 12v as that will damage the case, The LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case.

2. To charge the case, plug one end of the provided cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter. A Case LED indicates charging and Case LED turns off to indicate full charge.

Note: The LED indicator located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case. The charging gets indicated by White LED on charging case. Once fully charged, all the LED will turn off. Use only 5V 2A charger.

  1. Check if the charging pins of the case and the earbuds are clear and there is no obstruction.

  2. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation. A Red led light on either of the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

  3. Clean the magnetic connector pins on the case and connector pins (Metal pins located at the bottom) on the earbuds with a clean cloth dipped in mild alcohol, apply a medium pressure while cleaning and check the charging of the earbuds again.

  4. After cleaning, put both the earbuds into the case in desired orientation and close the lid and then connect it with a 5V 2A charger.

​Note: The LED indicator located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case. The charging gets indicated by White LED on charging case. Once fully charged, all the LED will turn off. Use only 5V 2A charger.

  1. Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/ default/ none/ 0.

  2. Perform a factory reset.

  3. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

  4. In case the earbuds have water droplets, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, A White light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will turn off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom are glowing to indicate the charge level.

  3. Check by switching on the earbuds on manually, press and hold the capacitive touch control for 3 seconds until the LED begins to flash in White.

  4. Try cleaning th echarging pins with an alcohol swab. Now place the earbuds inside the case and shut the lid. Open the lif after 5 seconds and check if the earbud LEDs are blinking now.

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or other media players

  3. Ensure that the controls have not been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

  4. Check if the control area has some sweat and oil as that might interfere with the capacitive touch control and clean the control area to remove any oil or sweat and the touch control should start working.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Try factory resetting the device

  3. Ensure that the connected device is within the Bluetooth range (10m) and there is no obstruction between the airdopes and the connected device

  4. If sweat or water has gone inside the microphone then try to clean it with a cotton swab dipped in mild alchohol.

1. Check if your Nirvana model has IWP tech integrated.

2. Make sure that you have paired the Airdopes at least once to the device you are trying to use IWP with before.

3. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and it has the Airdopes in the list of paired devices.

4. Try factory-resetting the device.

General FAQs

There’s one way to switch the ear buds on:

1. To automatically switch the earbuds on (Smart Power On) simply take out the earbuds from the carry case starting from the right earbud and then the left earbud.

2. Manual Power On is not available

Smart Power Off:

Step 1: After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears

Step 2: Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation

Step 3: The earbuds will automatically switch off (and enter into charging mode)

Manual Power Off:

Manual Power Off is not available.

To perform a factory reset on Nirvana Ion :

Step 1: Please note that both the earbuds can be used in mono mode. Use either of the two options: Smart Power On or Manual Power On for switching on the earbud

Step 2: The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode indicated by rapid white LED flashes

Step 3: Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for “Nirvana Ion”

1. Switch the earbuds on; Both the earbuds automatically enter into the Connection Mode

2. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan

3. Search for ‘Nirvana Ion’ and tap on the same for pairing & connect via Bluetooth

4. To switch to Stereo mode from mono, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the previously selected earbud, hence enabling Stereo usage

5. You cannot skip tracks or return to the previous tracks in Mono mode

1. Single tap on the CTC (touch sensor) of either of the earphones once, would result in answering an incoming call

2. If the earbuds are on the table, wearing any of the earbuds will pick up the call

3. Double tap the CTC (touch sensor) of either of the earphones for ending the call

  • Double tap the CTC (touch sensor) of either of the earphones for rejecting incoming calls

1. Via In-Ear Detection (Put on to play; remove to pause)

2. While playing music, single tap on the left/right CTC (touch sensor) results in pause and another tap will result in play

  • Previous Track : While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s touch sensor would result in returning to the previous track

  • Next Track : While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s touch sensor would result in jumping to the next track

1. Triple tap on the left earbud’s CTC (touch sensor) would result decreasing the volume by 25%

2. Triple Tap on the right earbud’s CTC (touch sensor) will increase the volume by 25%

1. Product is by default in boat Signature EQ. Long touch the CTC (touch sensor) of left earbud for 2 secs to switch to boat Balanced EQ.

2. Long Touch left earbud for 2 secs to switch back to boat Signature EQ.

Long touch for 2 seconds on the right earbud’s CTC (touch sensor) will activate low latency BEAST mode.

Yes. Nirvana Ion has a dual microphone feature.

The Nirvana Ion does support low latency for entertainment and casual gaming. But if you’re looking for a professional gaming equipment, then Nirvana Ion is not the right product.

Yes, boAt Nirvana Ion has the Environmental Noise Cancellation feature and it comes with 4 microphones.

  1. Our IWP technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.

  2. Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first.

There is no special process to enable IWP, simply follow the steps to pair your Airdopes to your media device first, then upon subsequent usage the IWP tech will be enabled automatically and the Airdopes will pair automatically to your previously paired media device if Bluetooth is turned on your media device.

Yes, Nirvana Ion supports Type-C charging. If your mobile charger comes with Type-C charging support then you can easily charge your device using your mobile charger.

Yes. Nirvana Ion supports Fast Charging.

No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and as of now there is no feature to turn them off or lower their volume.

1. Yes, triple tap right side for volume increase, triple tap left side for volume decrease .

2. Ensure that in the Bluetooth settings of your media device, you have enabled syncing of Bluetooth and phone volume levels otherwise you may not be able to fully control the volume of the earbuds as intended.

Nirvana Ion is IPX4 Water resistant. However, it is not recommended to submerged the earbuds inside water or used for prolonged periods inside water like for swimming/showers as it may lead to damage.
