General FAQs
Smart Power On - To automatically switch the earbuds on (Smart Power On), simply open the lid of the charging case when earbuds are kept inside.
Manual Power On - Long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) for 3 seconds on both the right and left earbuds.
Smart Power Off - For Smart Power Off, after usage, place the earbuds back into the charging case and close the case lid. The earbuds will automatically switch off.
Manual Power Off - Long touch the CTC for 5 seconds (left & right separately) to manually power off each earbud. Once the earbuds are turned off, place them back inside the case and close the lid.
Note : To perform a reset, clear "Immortal 170" from your device's paired history.
Take out the earbuds from the charging case.
Long touch the CTC on both earbuds for 5 seconds; the LED flashes quickly 5 times.
Place the earbuds inside the charging case in the correct orientation. Close the case lid and wait for 5 seconds.
Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection.
If the issue does not resolve through a reset, then try to manually Power Off and then Power On.
Single tap the CTC on either earbud to answer an incoming call.
To end a call, double tap the CTC on either earphone once. To reject an incoming call, double tap the CTC of either earbud.
While playing music, single tap on the left or right earbud CTC to pause or play the track.
While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s CTC to return to the previous track.
While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s CTC to skip to the next track.
Volume can only be adjusted via phone/media devices.
Both earbuds can be used in mono mode. Use either Smart Power On or Manual Power On to switch on the desired earbud.
The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode, indicated by LED flashes.
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for "boAt Immortal 170"
Switch the earbuds on; both will automatically enter Connection Mode.
Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device, scan, and search for "boAt Immortal 170" to pair and connect.
To switch from mono to stereo mode, simply take the other earbud out of the case; it will automatically power on and pair with the previously selected earbud, enabling stereo usage.
Long touch and hold the CTC of the left earbud for 3 seconds to activate voice assistants like Google Assistant or Siri.
Case LED Indications:
Earbuds Charging: When the earbuds are placed in the case, a red LED will be solid on the earbuds, and the case LED will blink for 10 seconds. The LED turns off when the earbuds are fully charged.
Case Charging: The LED is in breathing mode.
Case Fully Charged: The RGB LED is on.
Earbuds LED Indications:
Low Battery: The red LED blinks 3 times when the case lid is opened.
Minimum 30% - 100% charge: The blue LED blinks 3 times when the case lid is opened.
Power On: The blue light is ON for 1 second when the lid is opened.
Pairing Mode: Both earbuds blink red and blue.
Pairing Successful (1 time indication): Solid blue.
Earbuds in the charging box: The red light is ON during charging and turns OFF when fully charged.
Connected: The blue light flashes three times per minute (300ms ON, 300ms OFF).
Fully Charged: The red light is OFF.
Playing Music: All lights are OFF, but the "Connected" status remains.
Factory Reset LED Indications:
After a successful factory reset, the Case RGB & Earbuds RED LED blinks 5 times
Our IWP™ technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.
Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first!
There is no special process to enable IWP™- simply follow the steps to first pair your Immortal 170 to your media device. Then upon subsequent usage, the IWP™ tech will be enabled and the earbuds will pair automatically to your previously paired media device if Bluetooth is turned on in your media device.

No, the earbuds do not have any integrated volume controls on them. The volume must be controlled using your connected Bluetooth device.

No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and there is no provision to turn them off or lower their volume.
While your earbuds do have IPX4 water and sweat resistance, it is recommended that they are not submerged inside water directly or used for prolonged periods inside water like for swimming/showers, as it may lead to damage.
