1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode indicated by a tone prompt in the earbuds.

2. Check whether the boAt Hearables app on the media device is updated to the latest version. The app version can be checked from the Google Play Store for Android smartphones and from the App Store for iOS smartphones.

3. Check whether the case lid is open and the earbuds have been taken out.

4. Check if the earbuds are in the range of the media device’s Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

5. Check to see if the media device being connected to supports Bluetooth connections.

6. Check if the Bluetooth of the media device is turned ON.

7. Check to see if the device being connected to has no software issues.

8. Check to forget the earbuds from the device’s Bluetooth paired list, update the mobile software and if it still does not work, try factory resetting the product.

9. Check whether closing the app and opening it again solves the issue.

1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case. The earbuds will enter Connection Mode indicated by a tone prompt in the earbuds.

2. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

3. Check and see if factory resetting the device works.

4. Check if the pogo pins in the charging case and both earbuds are clean. You may do so by gently cleaning them using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and try using them again.

Resetting the device usually resolves such issues.

To perform a reset:

NOTE: Before performing reset, clear "Airdopes Plus 221" on your device's pairing history.

1. Place the earbuds inside the case in the correct orientation. Keep the case lid open.

2. While the earbuds are inside the case, long press the Reset button located inside the case for 10 seconds.

3. After successful factory reset:

   1. White LED blinks quickly 5 times on the Charging Case

   2. Red LED blinks quickly 5 times on the Earbuds

4. Close the lid and then re-open it again after 5 seconds.

5. Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection attempt.

NOTE: The case enters sleep mode automatically after 15 minutes when the lid is kept open. Please make sure to close the case lid and open it again, with both earbuds placed inside, to perform factory reset.

Congratulations! Your Airdopes Plus 221 earbuds have been Reset.

If IWP™ isn't functioning:

1. Confirm that your Airdopes model has IWP™ tech integrated.

2. Make sure you have paired the earbuds at least once before to the device you are trying to use IWP™ with.

3. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and your product name is in the list of paired devices.

4. Try factory-resetting the device.

1. Check to see if the wire connected to the case is not broken. Use other wires and also ensure that the charger being used is not of 9V or 12V as that will damage the case.

2. To charge the case, plug one end of the provided cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter.

   Note: The LED located at the bottom of the charging case indicates the battery status of the case. White LED flashes 4 times when the battery level is less than 70% (on opening case lid), white LED is on for 3 seconds when the battery level is more than 70% (on opening case lid), white light blinks once each second to indicate the case is charging and the white LED stays solid on to indicate full charge.

3. Check if the pogo pins in the charging case and both earbuds are clean. You may do so by gently cleaning them using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and try using them again.

1. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation.

2. Check to see if the earbuds are completely charged or not.

3. Once the earbuds have been completely charged, the LED on the case flashes white 2 times.

4. Check if the pogo pins in the charging case and both earbuds are clean. You may do so by gently cleaning them using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and try using them again.

5. App: Run the Smart Diagnostics function of the boAt Hearables app and check whether there are issues related to the earbud battery. Please note the Smart Diagnostics function in the app can only identify issues related to the firmware and not the hardware.

• Perform a factory reset. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clean the earbuds to restore the original sound.

• In the App: Check if there are speaker issues using the Smart Diagnostics function of the boAt Hearables app.

1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged. The first- white LED on the case blinks 2 times to indicate that the earbuds are fully charged.

2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom of the case are glowing to indicate the charge level.

3. Check by opening the lid of the charging case (with the earbuds inside) to power on the earbuds. The blue LED should flash for 1 second.

4. Check if the product was not subjected to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

1. Check if the controls do not work while being connected to another device.

2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on a call or with other media players.

3. Check if the controls have been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

1. Try restarting the device.

2. Perform a factory reset.

3. Make sure there are no objects between your earbuds and your connected device.

4. Try moving your device closer to the earbuds to see if the connection improves.

5. Look closely at the microphone hole for any dirt or earwax. If the microphone seems blocked, gently clean that area.

6. In the App: Run the Smart Diagnostics function of the boAt Hearables app and check whether there are issues related to the earbud mic. Please note the Smart Diagnostics function in the app can only identify issues related to the firmware and not the hardware.

• Smart Power Off :

1. After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears.

2. Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation and close the case lid.

3. The earbuds will automatically switch off (and enter into charging mode).

• Manual Power Off - Long touch the CTC on both earbuds for 10 seconds (one at a time) till the earbuds get turned off, to manually switch off the earbuds. Red LED remains on for 1 second to indicate power off.

NOTE: Before performing reset, clear "Airdopes Plus 221" on your device's pairing history.

1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.

2. During charging, white LED on the case flashes once if one earbud is charging inside & the white LED on the case flashes twice if both earbuds are charging inside.

3. Once the charging is complete, white LED on the case blinks 2 times.

• To charge the case, plug one end of the cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer, wall adapter, or a power bank.

1. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V/2A

2. Charging through cable/wire – Standard cable: 10 strands @0.10mm diameter/strand

3. Any other accessory can be used for charging the earbuds as long as the above norms are followed.

• Single tap the CTC on either earbud to answer an incoming call.

• Double tap either earbud’s CTC to reject an incoming call or end an ongoing call.

• Single tap the CTC on either earbud to play or pause a track

1. While playing music, double tap the left earbud’s CTC to return to the previous track.

2. While playing music, double tap the right earbud’s CTC to skip to the next track.

• Volume can only be adjusted via phone/media devices.

1. Please note that both the earbuds can be used in Mono mode. Use Smart Power On for switching on the desired earbud.

2. The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode.

3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for “Airdopes Plus 221” to connect.

Note:

• boAt Spatial Audio is activated only when both earbuds are worn. This mode will be deactivated in Mono (single earbud) mode.

• You can only skip to the next track while using the right earbud or play the previous track using the left earbud in Mono (single earbud) mode.

1. Switch the earbuds on; both the earbuds automatically enter the Connection Mode.

2. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan.

3. Search for “Airdopes Plus 221” and tap on the same for pairing & connect via Bluetooth.

4. To switch to Stereo mode from Mono, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the previously selected earbud, hence enabling Stereo usage.

• Tap the right earbud CTC 3 times to activate the default smart voice assistant (Google Voice Assistant/Siri).

• Long touch the CTC on the right earbud for 2 seconds to activate boAt Spatial Audio. Long touch the right earbud CTC again for 2 seconds to switch to boAt Signature Sound.

• Tap the left earbud CTC 3 times to activate BEAST™ mode. Tap the left earbud CTC 3 times again to de-activate BEAST™ mode.

Airdopes Plus 221 can be connected to 2 devices at once. To enable this feature, following steps are to be taken:

1. Switch on the Bluetooth of your first phone/media device and search for ‘Airdopes Plus 221’. After the selection is done, the earbuds are paired with your phone/media device.

2. Turn off the Bluetooth function of your first phone/media device. The earbuds are ready to be paired again.

3. Now switch on the Bluetooth function on your second phone/media device. Scan and select ‘Airdopes Plus 221’ to connect.

4. Switch on the Bluetooth of the first phone/media device again and select ‘Airdopes Plus 221’ from the list of available devices for pairing. The earbuds are now reconnected to the first phone/media device.

Congratulations! Your earbuds are now connected to both your devices successfully via Bluetooth.

Note: This feature can be switched OFF from the boAt Hearables App.

To install the boAt Hearables app, you can follow one of the options mentioned below-

• After installing the app, follow the steps shown on the app to set up your account by entering your phone number, name, and email ID. Account setup is a one-time action.

1. Turn on the Bluetooth on your media device and connect with Airdopes Plus 221

2. Log in to your account on the boAt Hearables app.

3. Go to the “My Devices” section.

4. Open the case lid and take out Airdopes Plus 221. The earbuds will show up under the list of available devices with “Ready to Pair'' status.

5. Tap the Airdopes Plus 221 name card and accept the pairing request pop-up notification on your media device.

6. Tap the ‘Pair’ option on the pairing notification. You can also save AD Plus 221 to your Google account for fast pairing in the future by clicking on “Save” and then “Set up”.

Congratulations! Airdopes Plus 221 is now connected to your media device with “Connected” status.

1. The boAt Hearables app shows all currently and previously paired devices in the ‘My Devices’ section.

2. Once Airdopes Plus 221 paired to your smartphone, the status gets changed to “Connected” in the thumbnail.

3. Tap the thumbnail, to check whether both the left and right earbuds are connected or not. You can also check the battery level of both earbuds.

1. To reset Airdopes Plus 221m your device, go to the Troubleshooting section “?” on the Hearables app.

2. Next, tap the “Malfunctioning” sub-header in the Troubleshooting section.

3. Click on the option “Reset My Device” to reset the earbuds. Congratulations! Your Airdopes Plus 221 been reset.

Note: Airdopes Plus 221l now show as “Ready to Pair” in the My Devices section. Follow the pairing procedure to connect the earbuds to your device.

To diagnose issues related to Bluetooth connectivity, mic, speaker, and battery, use the Smart Diagnostics function of the Hearables app.

1. Tap the “Diagnose My Device” option at the bottom.

2. Follow the instructions to start the smart diagnostics process.

3. Click on “Let’s Go” to start.

4. Complete all the steps one by one to check Bluetooth connectivity, mic, speaker, and battery functions.

5. Click on ‘Done’ to finish diagnostics.
