Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. Check if the device is in pairing mode, indicated by alternating LED flashes on both the earbuds.

  2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Clear all your pairing history and perform a fresh connection attempt.

  4. If it is a passcode issue then enter 0000 / 1234.

  5. If the issue still does not get resolved then perform a factory reset

1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case, the earbuds will enter the Connection Mode, indicated by alternating red and blue LED flashes.

2. If one of them fails to smart power on, to manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long touch the touch sensor (CTC) for 3 seconds on both Left and Right earbuds for switching them on until a solid LED light begins to flash and then it turns Off.

3. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

4. Check and see if hard resetting the device works.

1. Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.

2. Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a reset on your Airdopes Genesis:

Note: Before performing a reset, go to settings and forget the device from your phone/laptop

  1. Place the earbuds inside the case

  2. While earbuds are inside, long press the Reset button located inside the case for 10 seconds, until LED flashes 5 times

  3. Close the lid, wait for 5 seconds and then reopen it

  4. Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection. Congratulations! Your Airdopes Genesis has been reset.

  5. If the issue does not get resolved then long press the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC)/ the touch sensor on both earbuds for 3 seconds to manually power ON the earbuds. The powering-On is indicated by an LED.

  • Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  • Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.

  • Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

  1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.

  2. During charging, LED stays solid red once the charging is complete, charging case automatically switches off to save power and LED indicator turns off.

  • To charge the case, plug one end of the cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter or a power bank.

  1. Check if the stickers on the charging points of the ear pods are removed or not. If not then it is to be removed and the ear pods will start charging once put inside the charging case.

  2. Check if the charging cable connected to the case is not broken, use other charging cable and also ensure that the charger being used is not more than 5V 2A as that will damage the case. The LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case.The charging gets indicated by White LED on charging case. Once fully charged, all the LED will turn off.

  3. Please ensure that the charging port is not damaged.

  1. Ensure that the Airdopes case is charged for charging the earbuds.

  2. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation, and a white light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.

  3. Clean the magnetic charging pins on the case and on the earbuds with a clean cloth dipped in mild alcohol, apply a medium pressure while cleaning and check the charging of the earbuds again.

  4. After cleaning, put both the earbuds into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.

  5. Once both the earbuds are charged, the LED on the case will go off.

1. Before using the earbuds for the first time, please fully charge the earbuds with the charging case lid being closed.

2. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

3. Charging through cable/wire – Standard cable: 35 strands @0.10mm diameter/strand

4. Any other accessories could be used for charging the earphones as long as the above norms are followed.

  1. Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/ default/ zero/ none.

  2. Perform a factory reset.

  3. In case the earbuds have water droplets, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

  4. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

  5. If your device still does not get fixed then perform a factory reset

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, A red light on the earbud’s will indicate they are still being charged. This light will turn off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom are glowing to indicate the charge level.

  3. Check by switching on the earbud’ on manually, press and hold the capacitive touch control for 3 seconds until the LED begins to flash in red and blue.

  4. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire

1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if they controls do not function on call or other media players.

3. Check if the controls have been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Try factory resetting the device

  3. Ensure that the connected device is within the Bluetooth range (10m) and there is no obstruction between the airdopes and the connected device

  4. If sweat or water has gone inside the microphone then try to clean it with a cotton swab dipped in mild alchohol.

1. Check if your airdopes model has IWP tech integrated.

2. Make sure that you have paired the airdopes at least once to the device you are trying to use IWP with before.

3. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and it has the airdopes in the list of paired devices.

4. Try factory-resetting the device.

Step 1: Take out the earbuds from the case and long touch both CTCs for 5 seconds

Step 2: Place the earbuds inside the case

Step 3: Close the cover lid and reopen it again after 5 seconds to perform fresh connection

General FAQs

POWER ON:

There are two ways to switch the ear buds on:

  1. Smart Power On: To automatically switch the earbuds on (Smart Power On) simply take out the earbuds from the carry case starting from the right earbud and then the left earbud.

  2. Manual Power On: To manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (*CTC) for 3 seconds on both Right and Left earbuds.

Power OFF:

  • Smart Power Off

  1. After usage remove both the buds from your ears.

  2. Place the buds back into the charging case in correct orientation.

  3. The earbuds will automatically switch off and enter into charging mode

  • Manual Power Off: Long touch the CTC on both earbuds for 5 seconds till the earbuds get turned off, in order to manually switch off the earbuds.

Step 1: Place the earbuds inside the case

Step 4: Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection.

  1. Please note that both the earbuds can be used in mono mode. Use either of the two options: Smart Power On or Manual Power On for switching on the desired earbud.

  2. The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode indicated by red and blue LED flashes.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for “Airdopes Genesis".

  • Long touch either CTC for 3 secs to activate the voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri.

  1. Answer Call: Single tap on the CTC of either of the earbuds once, would result in answering an incoming call

  2. End/ Reject Call: Double tap the CTC of either of the earbuds would result in ending or rejecting incoming calls

1. Courtesy the In-Ear Detection feature, putting on earbuds plays tracks whereas removing them from ears helps to pause the tracks.

2. While playing music, single tap on the left/right CTC results in pause and another tap will result in play

1. While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s CTC would result in returning to the previous track.

2. While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s CTC would result in jumping to the next track.

  1. Our IWP technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.

  2. Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first!

  • Yes. Airdopes Genesis has dual microphone

  • The Airdopes Genesis does support low latency for entertainment and casual gaming. But if you’re looking for a professional gaming equipment, then Airdopes Genesis is not the right product.

  • Yes

  • No, it does not have cVc technology.

  • No, it does not have ANC features.

  • No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and as of now there is no feature to turn them off or lower their volume.

  1. No, the earbuds do not have any integrated volume control on them, the volume has to be controlled using your connected Bluetooth device.

  2. Ensure that in the Bluetooth settings of your media device, you have enabled syncing of Bluetooth and phone volume levels otherwise you may not be able to fully control the volume of the earbuds as intended.

  • No, it does not support aptX codec by Qualcomm.

  • While your earbuds do have a certain amount of water and sweat resistance it is recommended that they should not be not submerged inside water directly or used for prolonged periods inside water like for swimming/showers as it may lead to damage.
