Troubleshooting FAQs

1. Check if the device is in pairing mode, indicated by alternating LED flashes on both the earbuds.

2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

3. Clear all your pairing history and perform a fresh connection attempt.

4. If it is a passcode issue then enter 0000 / 1234.

5. If the issue still does not get resolved then perform a factory reset

  1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case, the earbuds will enter into the Connection Mode, indicated by red and blue LED flashes.

  2. If one of them fails to smart power on, to manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long touch the CTC for 3 seconds on both Left and Right earbuds for switching them on until the LED light begins to flash in red and blue colours.

  3. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

  4. Check and see if hard resetting the device work as desired or not.

  5. Check if the earbuds are charging or not. If not then clean the earbuds and the charging case specially the charging pins and connectors with mild alcohol swab and see if it goes in charging mode or not.

  • Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.

  • Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a factory reset on your Airdopes Fuel:

(Note : Before performing a reset, go to settings and forget the device from your phone/laptop

  1. Take out the earbuds from the case

  2. Long touch both CTCs for 5 seconds one after another, then keep the earbuds inside the case, close the lid and wait for 5 seconds

  3. The earbuds LED flashes 5 times to indicate a successful factory reset connection

  4. Take out the earbuds from the case and perform a fresh connection

Congratulations! Your Airdopes Fuel has been Reset.

Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

Congratulations! Your Airdopes Fuel has been Reset.

  1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.

  2. During charging, LED stays solid red

  3. Once the charging is complete, charging case automatically switches off to save power and LED indicator turns off

  1. To charge the case, plug one end of the charging cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter or a power bank.

  2. Flashing WHITE LEDs indicates that the charging case is being charged. Once the charging case gets fully charged, the LEDs turn into solid white

  • Case LED indication about inserting Earbuds into the Case : This is to indicate that the Earbuds are charging from the Case (When Lid is closed)

  1. LED1 lights up for LEFT bud

  2. LED3 lights up for RIGHT bud

  3. If both are getting charged, they get indicated by LED1 & LED3 for 5 secs

  • Case is charging : Flashing WHITE LEDs, LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case

  • Case is charged fully : LED is Solid White (Note: The 'SOLID ON ' indication of WHITE LEDs is only during if Charging cable is plugged in case is FULLY Charged. This 'SOLID WHITE’ indicates to user to unplug the charging cable. Once unplugged, the LED can go OFF).

  • Earbuds – Low battery in it : RED blink (3 times) when the Case lid is opened

  • Earbuds – Minimum 30% - 100% charge in it : BLUE blink (3 times) when the Case lid is opened

  • Power ON : BLUE light is ON for 1 second on opening the Lid

  • Pairing mode : First, the connection happens between Master and Slave, and indicates with BLUE, then enters the pairing mode with the following LED indications:

  1. Master Earbud blinks RED & BLUE during pairing mode

  2. Slave Earbud blinks BLUE for every 5 sec

Note: If Master and Slave Earbuds are not connected, it will act as an independent Earbud, and on both the Earbuds, RED & Blue blinks

  • Pairing successfully (1 time indication) : Solid BLUE Light for 3 sec

  • If pairing not successful (In pairing mode) : The same as Pairing mode, if 5 minutes later still cannot be pairing successful, then the Earbuds will show solid RED once and auto power off

  • Earbuds in the charging box :

  1. In charging status, the Red LED turns on for 2 secs when lid gets opened, LED should be off when lid is closed

  2. Full charging, the lights are OFF

  • Connected : Blue light flashes 300ms - ON and 300ms - OFF, so 3 times each minute = the 20s per times

  • Disconnected : The same as Pairing mode

  • Fully charged : RED light is OFF

  • Play the music : All lights are OFF (But "Connected" status will remain)

  1. Ensure that the earphone case is charged for charging the earbuds.

  2. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation, the LED on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

  3. Clean the magnetic connector pins on the case and connector pins (metal pins) on the earbuds with cotton or a clean cotton cloth dipped in mild alcohol, apply a medium pressure while cleaning and check the charging of the earbuds again. After cleaning wipe the surface with a dry cotton / cloth to ensure that no moisture retains over it.

  4. Now put both the earbuds into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.

  5. Once both the earbuds are charged, the LED on the case will go off.

  1. Check if the stickers on the charging points of the ear pods are removed or not. If not then it is to be removed and the earbuds will start charging once put inside the charging case.

  2. Check if the charging cable connected to the case is not broken, use other charging cable and also ensure that the charger being used is not more than 5V 2A (Output) as that will damage the case. The LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case.

  3. Please ensure that the charging port is not damaged.

1. Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/default.

2. In case the earbuds have water droplets, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

3. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

4. If your device still does not get fixed then perform a factory reset

1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first or not. A blue light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct (5V/2A) for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom are glowing to indicate the charge level or use an alternate charger.

3. Check by switching the earbuds on manually, long press the Capacitive Touch Controls (CTC) for 3 seconds until the LED begins to flash.

4. Ensure that the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

5. Check if the charging pins of the case and earbuds have some dirt accumulation or corrosion and clean them with an alcohol swab and then put them back in the case for charge and the earbuds should start charging.

1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or other media players

3. Ensure that the controls have not been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

4. Check if the control area has some sweat and oil as that might interfere with the capacitive touch control and clean the control area to remove any oil or sweat and the touch control should start working.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Try factory resetting the device

  3. Ensure that the connected device is within the Bluetooth range (10m) and there is no obstruction between the airdopes and the connected device

  4. If sweat or water has gone inside the microphone then try to clean it with a cotton swab dipped in mild alchohol.

1. Make sure that you have paired the Airdopes at least once to the device that you are trying to use IWP with before.

2. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and it has the Airdopes in the list of paired devices.

3. Try factory-resetting the device.

4. Check if your Airdopes battery case has charging in it to have IWP functioning.

General FAQs

There are two ways to switch the ear buds on:

  1. Smart Power On : To automatically switch the earbuds on (Smart Power On) simply take out the earbuds from the carry case starting from the right earbud and then the left earbud

  2. Manual Power On : To manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (*CTC) for 3 seconds on both Right and Left earbuds

  • Smart Power Off :

  1. After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears

  2. Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation

  3. The earbuds will automatically switch off (and enter into charging mode)

  • Manual Power Off:

  1. Long touch the CTC on either earbud for 5 seconds till the earbuds get turned off, in order to manually switch off the earbuds. Please note that it powers off both the earbuds.

  1. Answer Call : Single tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in answering an incoming call

  2. End Call : Once done talking, double tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in ending the call

  • Double tap the CTC of either of the earphones would result in rejecting incoming calls

  • While playing music, single tap on the left/right CTC result in pause and another tap will result in play

  1. Previous Track : While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s CTC would result in returning to the previous track

  2. Next Track : While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s CTC would result in jumping to the next track

  • Volume could only be adjusted via phone/media devices

  • Long tap and hold CTC of either earbud for 3 secs to activate the voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri

  • Long touch for 3 seconds on the right earbud’s CTC will lead to activating Low Latency mode. It will be notified via a sound prompt. Long touch on the right earbud again for 3 seconds will switch back to the standard mode

  1. Both the earbuds can be used in mono mode. Use either of the two options mentioned below-

  2. Smart Power on or Manual Power on for switching on the desired earbud

  3. The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode indicated by red and blue LED flashes

  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for ‘boAt Airdopes Fuel’ to connect

Note:

  • To switch to Stereo mode, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the previously selected earbud, hence enabling Stereo usage

  • You cannot skip tracks or return to the previous tracks in Mono mode

  1. Switch the earbuds on; a red and white light will flash to confirm that they have been switched on. Both earbuds will pair with one another automatically.

  2. The earbuds will enter into the Connection Mode, indicated by alternating red and blue LED flashes on the primary earbuds and blue LED flashes once every 5 seconds on the secondary earbuds.

  3. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan

  4. Search for ‘Airdopes Fuel’ and pair accordingly. Enter ‘0000’ as the passkey if asked.

  5. Your earbuds are now connected successfully via Bluetooth

Note:

  • Pairing mode lasts for 5 minutes. If the pairing time is missed then you will need to reconnect the ear-buds and follow the above-mentioned procedure

  • Airdopes Fuel remembers previously connected devices; once switched on, the ear-buds automatically reconnect to the previously connected devices

  • No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and as of now there is no feature to turn them off or lower their volume.

  • No, the earbuds do not have any integrated volume control on them, the volume has to be controlled using your connected Bluetooth device.

  • Ensure that in the Bluetooth settings of your media device, you have enabled syncing of Bluetooth and phone volume levels otherwise you may not be able to fully control the volume of the earbuds as intended.

  • The Airdopes Fuel does support Ultra low latency (40ms) for entertainment and casual gaming. But if you’re looking for a professional gaming equipment, then Airdopes Fuel is not the right product.
