Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. Check if the device is in pairing mode, indicated by alternating LED flashes on both the earbuds.

  2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

  3. Clear all your pairing history and perform a fresh connection attempt.

  4. If it is a passcode issue then enter 0000 / 1234.

  5. Try factory resetting the product and if it still does not work then update the mobile software.

  1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case. The earbuds will enter Connection Mode indicated by alternating red and blue LED flashes.

  2. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

  3. Check and see if factory resetting the device works.

  • Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  • Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.

  • Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a reset on your Airdopes 181 Pro :

Note: Before performing a reset, go to settings and forget the device from your phone/laptop

  1. Take out the earbuds from the charging case.

  2. Long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on both earbuds for 5 seconds to perform reset. This is indicated by the red LEDs on both the earbuds rapidly flashing 5 times.

  3. Place the earbuds inside the charging case in the correct orientation. Close the case lid and wait for 5 seconds.

  4. Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection

    Congratulations! Your Airdopes 181 Pro has been Reset.

  1. Check to see if the wire connected to the case is not broken. Use other wires and ensure that the charger being used is not of 9V or 12V as that will damage the case.

  2. To charge the case, plug one end of the provided USB Type-C cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer, power bank, wall adapter, etc.

Note: The LED located on the charging case indicates the battery status of the case. White LED blinks continuously to indicate charging and solid white LED indicates full charge.

  1. Ensure the Airdopes case is charged for charging the earbuds.

  2. The digital display on the case remains ON and shows the real-time battery level increase of both earbuds between 1-4 bars while the earbuds are getting charged. This display will turn off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

  3. Clean the magnetic charging pins on the case and on the earbuds with a clean cloth dipped in mild alcohol, apply a medium pressure while cleaning and check the charging of the earbuds again.

  4. After cleaning, put both the earbuds into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.

  1. Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A

  2. Charging through cable/wire – Standard cable: 35 strands @0.10mm diameter/strand

  3. Any other accessory can be used for charging the earbuds if the above norms are followed.

Note : Before using the earbuds for the first time, it is recommended to fully charge the earbuds as well as the charging case. Also, keep the lid of the charging case closed while charging.

  1. Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/ default/ zero/ none.

  2. Perform a factory reset.

  3. In case the earbuds have water droplets, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

  4. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

  5. If your device still does not get fixed then perform a factory reset

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first. The red LED on the earbuds remains solid on when the case lid is opened to indicate that they are still being charged. A solid blue LED flashes for 30 seconds and turns off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the charging case and if the white LED on the case is blinking to indicate charging.

  3. Check by switching the earbuds on manually- long touch the capacitive touch control for 3 seconds and release until the LED begins to flash white.

  4. Check if the device was not subjected to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while being connected to another device.

  2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or with other media players.

  3. Check if the controls have been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  3. Ensure that the connected device is within the Bluetooth range (10m) and there is no obstruction between the airdopes and the connected device

  4. If sweat or water has gone inside the microphone then try to clean it with a cotton swab dipped in mild alchohol.

  1. Check if your Airdopes model has IWP™ tech integrated.

  2. Make sure that you have paired the earbuds at least once before to the device you are trying to use IWP™ with.

  3. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and if it has Airdopes 181 Pro in the list of paired devices.

  4. Try factory resetting the device.

General FAQs

POWER ON:

  • Smart Power On: To automatically switch the earbuds On, simply open the lid of the charging case when earbuds are kept inside.

  • Manual Power On: To manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) for 3 seconds on both Right and Left earbuds and release. TThis is indicated with solid blue LED for 2 seconds followed by a tone prompt.

Power OFF:

  • Smart Power Off :

  1. After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears.

  2. Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation and close the case lid.

  3. Red LED flashes for 2 seconds followed by a tone prompt. The earbuds will automatically switch off (and enter charging mode).

  • Manual Power Off: Long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on both earbuds for 5 seconds (one at a time) till the earbuds turn off and release, to manually switch off the earbuds.

To perform a reset on your Airdopes 181 Pro:

NOTE: Before performing reset, clear "Airdopes 181 Pro" from the pairing device history by forgetting the device.

  1. Take out the earbuds from the charging case.

  2. Long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on both earbuds for 5 seconds to perform reset. This is indicated by the red LEDs on both the earbuds rapidly flashing 5 times.

  3. Place the earbuds inside the charging case in the correct orientation. Close the case lid and wait for 5 seconds.

  4. Take out the earbuds from the charging case and perform a fresh connection

    Congratulations! Your Airdopes 181 Pro has been Reset.

  • Single tap the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on either earbud to answer an incoming call.

  • Double tap the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on either earbud to end an ongoing call or reject incoming calls.

  • While playing music, single tap on the left or right earbud Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) to pause or play the track

  1. While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) to return to the previous track.

  2. While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) to skip to the next track

  • Volume can only be adjusted via phone/media devices

  • Long touch the left earbud Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) for 3 seconds to activate ‘Google Assistant’ for Android devices and ‘Siri’ for iOS devices.

  1. Please note that both the earbuds can be used in Mono mode. Use either of the two options: Smart Power On or Manual Power On for switching on the desired earbud.

  2. The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode indicated by alternate red and blue LED flashes.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for “Airdopes 181 Pro” to connect.

  1. Switch the earbuds on; both the earbuds automatically enter Connection Mode.

  2. This is indicated with white LED flashes on the master earbud.

  3. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan.

  4. Search for ‘Airdopes 181 Pro’ and tap on the same for pairing & connecting via Bluetooth.

  5. To switch to Stereo mode from Mono, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the previously selected earbud, hence enabling Stereo usage.

  6. You can only skip to the "next track" using the right earbud in Mono/Stereo mode.

  7. You can only switch to the "previous track" using the left earbud in Mono/Stereo mode.

  1. Low battery (<20%) : Red light quickly blinks 4 times every 30 seconds on opening the lid

  2. Power On : Solid blue light flashes for 2 seconds on opening the lid

  3. Power Off : Solid red LED flashes for 2 seconds when powered off

  4. Pairing Mode : Alternate red and blue LED flashes on the master earbud & Slave earbud LED flashes blue once every 5 seconds

  5. Pairing successful (1 time indication) : Blue LED flashes on the left and right earbuds

  6. If pairing not successful (In pairing mode) : The earbuds will show solid red light once; auto power off

  7. Connected : Blue light flashes every 20 seconds on both the earbuds ; No LED flash when media is playing

  8. Disconnected : Left and right earbuds flash red light twice every 5 seconds

  9. Earbuds Charging : Solid red LED

  10. Fully Charged : Solid blue LED flashes for 30 seconds and turns OFF

  11. Playing Music : All lights are OFF (But "Connected" status will remain)

  12. Factory Reset : Red LED blinks 5 times on both the earbuds after successful factory reset

  1. Our IWP™ technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.

  2. Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first!

  • There is no special process to enable IWP™- simply follow the steps to first pair your Airdopes 181 Pro to your media device. Then upon subsequent usage, the IWP™ tech will be enabled and the earbuds will pair automatically to your previously paired media device if Bluetooth is turned on in your media device.

  • Yes, Airdopes 181 Pro is integrated with 2 mics per earbud.

  • Airdopes 181 Pro does support 65 ms low latency for entertainment and casual gaming. But if you’re looking for professional gaming equipment, then Airdopes 181 Pro is not the right product

  1. No, the earbuds do not have any integrated volume controls on them. The volume must be controlled using your connected Bluetooth device.

  2. Ensure that in the Bluetooth settings of your media device, you have enabled syncing of Bluetooth and phone volume levels otherwise you may not be able to fully control the volume of the earbuds as intended.

  • No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and there is no provision to turn them off or lower their volume.

  1. To charge the earbuds, put them into the charging case in their correct orientation.

  2. While charging, the white LED on the case remains solid ON for 5 seconds.
