Troubleshooting FAQs

1. Check if the device is in pairing mode, indicated by alternating LED flashes on both the earbuds.

2. Ensure that the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.

3. Clear all your pairing history and perform a fresh connection attempt.

4. If it is a passcode issue then enter 0000 / 1234.

5. If the issue still does not get resolved then perform a factory reset

1. Check when both the earbuds are taken out of the charging case, the earbuds will enter into the Connection Mode, indicated by light blue LED flashes.

2. If one of them fails to smart power on, to manually switch the earbuds on (Manual Power On), long press the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) for 3 seconds on both the earbuds for switching them on until the LED light begins to flash in red and white colours.

3. Place the earbuds in the charging case and then try using them again. Check if it connects automatically.

4. Check and see if hard resetting the device work as desired or not.

5. Check if the earbuds are charging or not. If not then clean the earbuds and the charging case specially the charging pins and connectors with mild alcohol swab and see if it goes in charging mode or not.

Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

To perform a reset on your Airdopes 170:

Note: Before performing a reset, go to settings and forget the device from your phone/laptop

  1. Take out both the earbuds from the charging case and ensure that both the earbuds are in pairing mode (indicated by alternate Red & Blue LEDs)

  2. Long touch the touch sensors of both the earbuds for 5 seconds to reset both the earbuds. This is indicated by a rapid flashing of Red LED for 5 times

  3. Place the earbuds back inside the case, close the lid the and wait for 5 seconds

  4. Take out earbuds from the case and perform a fresh connection. Congratulations, your Airdopes 170 has been reset!

  5. If the issue does not get resolved then long press the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC)/ the touch sensor on both earbuds for 5 seconds (one at a time) to manually power OFF the earbuds. Once the earbuds get turned Off, place them back inside the case and close the lid for 5 seconds, then re-open the lid and use your Airdopes.

Resetting your airdopes usually resolves this issue.

  1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.

  2. During charging, LED stays solid red once the charging is complete, charging case automatically switches off to save power and LED indicator turns off

  • To charge the case, plug one end of the cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter or a power bank.

  1. Check if the stickers on the charging points of the ear pods are removed or not. If not then it is to be removed and the ear pods will start charging once put inside the charging case.

  2. Check if the charging cable connected to the case is not broken, use other charging cable and also ensure that the charger being used is not more than 5V 2A as that will damage the case. The LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case.

  3. Please ensure that the charging port is not damaged.

  1. Ensure that the earphone case is charged for charging the earbuds.

  2. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation, A Red led light on the earbud’s will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.

  3. Clean the magnetic connector pins on the case and connector pins (metal pins) on the earbuds with a clean cloth dipped in mild alcohol, apply a medium pressure while cleaning and check the charging of the earbuds again.

  4. After cleaning, put both the earbuds into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.

  1. Please ensure that there is no obstruction between the charging pins of the case and the earbuds

  2. Check if the orientation of the earbuds inside the case is correct and they have been properly inserted inside the case.

  3. Check if the charging pins of the earbuds (metal pins) are clean. You may do so by gently cleaning the charging pins with cotton swab dipped in alcohol and apply a medium pressure while cleaning and then quickly dry it with a dry cotton.

1. Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/default.

2. In case the earbuds have water droplets, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.

3. If the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

4. If your device still does not get fixed then perform a factory reset

1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first or not. A blue light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbuds have been completely charged.

2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct (5V/2A) for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom are glowing to indicate the charge level or use an alternate charger.

3. Check by switching the earbuds on manually, long press the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC)/ the touch sensor on both earbuds for 3 seconds until the LED begins to flash.

4. Ensure that the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

5. Check if the charging pins of the case and earbuds have some dirt accumulation or corrosion and clean them with an alcohol swab and then put them back in the case for charge and the earbuds should start charging.

1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or other media players

3. Ensure that the controls have not been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.

4. Check if the control area has some sweat and oil as that might interfere with the capacitive touch control and clean the control area to remove any oil or sweat and the touch control should start working.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.

  2. Try factory resetting the device

  3. Ensure that the connected device is within the Bluetooth range (10m) and there is no obstruction between the airdopes and the connected device

  4. If sweat or water has gone inside the microphone then try to clean it with a cotton swab dipped in mild alchohol.

  5. You can also perform a voice recording test to ensure that your mic is able to capture your voice.

1. Make sure that you have paired the Airdopes at least once to the device that you are trying to use IWP with before.

2. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and it has the Airdopes in the list of paired devices.

3. Try factory-resetting the device.

4. Check if your Airdopes battery case has charging in it to have IWP functioning.

  1.  Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.

  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long touch the left CTC for 3 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device.Though under some circumstance, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

General FAQs

1. Power ON:

  • Smart Power On: Simply open the lid of the charging case (when the earbuds are inside). Our IWP (Insta Wake N' Pair) technology automatically turns On the earbuds. The earbuds then enter the connection mode and get connected. OR

  • Manual Power On: Long touch the Capacitive Touch Control(CTC) / the touch sensors on both the earbuds for 3 seconds to manually power On the earbuds.

2. Power OFF:

  • Smart Power Off:

  1. After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears

  2. Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation and close the lid of the case.

  3. The earbuds automatically switch Off (and enter the charging mode)

  • Manual Power Off:

  1. Long touch the CTC on both earbud for 5 seconds to manually power off the earbuds.

  2. Once the earbuds get turned off, place them back inside the case and close the lid.

  1. Please note that both the earbuds can be used in mono mode. Use either of the two options: Smart Power On or Manual Power On for switching on the desired earbud

  2. The selected earbud will automatically enter the connection mode indicated by Red and Blue LED flashes

  3. Turn On the bluetooth on your phone/media device and search for "Airdopes 170".

  • Long touch the CTC of left earbud for 2 secs to activate the voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri

  1. Single tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in answering an incoming call.

  2. Once done talking, double tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in ending the call.

  • Double tap the CTC of either of the earphones would result in rejecting incoming calls

  • While playing music, single tap on the left/right CTC result in pause and another tap will result in play

  1. Next Track: While playing music, double tap on the right earbud’s CTC would result in jumping to the next track

  2. PreviousTrack: While playing music, double tap on the left earbud’s CTC would result in returning to the previous track

  1. Our IWP technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.

  2. Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first.

There is no special process to enable IWP, simply follow the steps to pair your Airdopes to your media device first, then upon subsequent usage the IWP tech will be enabled automatically and the Airdopes will pair automatically to your previously paired media device if Bluetooth is turned on your media device.
