Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. Short press the “INPUT” button on Sound Bar or remote controller to switch it to BT mode.

  2. You can also give voice command – “Alexa switch to Bluetooth mode”

  • Press Input to enter AUX/USB/Bluetooth/Optical/HDMI(ARC) selection Mode

  1. For USB it will Play directly upon connection of a USB drive.

  2. The LED will turn into pink colour

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.

  2. Check if the problem still occurs if the device is moved closer and all obstacles in the middle are removed.

  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.

  4. Check for different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

  5. Check if the problem occurs when connected to different power sockets.

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly connected, i.e. the jack is properly inserted into the device for aux, properly connected with the HDMI cable from unit's HDMI (ARC) slot to the HDMI (ARC) slot on your ARC compatible TV, check if the protective cap of the OPTICAL socket is removed, then connect an OPTICAL cable to the TV’s OPTICAL OUT socket and the OPTICAL socket on the unit, the USB that is connected is functional or if it is connected by Bluetooth then it is paired properly and the blue light is not blinking to indicate it is properly paired in Bluetooth mode.

  2. When using either of the Digital inputs, if there is no audio, try setting the TV output to PCM or connect directly to your Blu-ray/other source, some TVs do not pass-through digital audio, check the TV manual for details.

  3. Your TV may be set to variable audio output. Confirm that the audio output setting is set to FIXED or STANDARD, not VARIABLE. Consult your TV’s user manual for more detailed information.

  4. Check if the device has been properly connected to the power socket and if the problem occurs on all modes of playback. If connected to the TV, ensure that the connections are secure, the TV supports the playback mode, and the volume is set properly on the TV.

  5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device

  2. Check if the device is in aux mode because the remote buttons will not work in aux mode

  3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if they controls do not function on call or other media players

  4. Check if the remote control has been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards

  5. Before you press any playback control button, first select the correct source.

  6. Reduce the distance between the remote control and the unit.

  7. Insert the battery with its polarities (+/-) aligned as indicated.

  8. Check that the batteries in the remote are functional and of the correct type, try to replace the battery.

  9. Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the unit.

  1. Check if the AAVANTE Bar Aaupera and the subwoofer are plugged in properly to the power source and turned on using the button on the soundbar or the remote.

  2. Check if there are any loose wirings.

  3. Turn off the power switch and wait for a few minutes and try again.

General FAQs

  • Plug one side of power cord into the AC IN port on the soundbar and the other side into wall outlet of main sockets. When you connect the soundbar to the power supply, the soundbar enters standby mode with LED lights bright red.

  1. Short press the "POWER" button on the soundbar or remote control to turn it on, the LED light shows startup running status.

  2. After power on, the input sources can be changed and selected by pressing the "INPUT" button on soundbar or on the remote control.

  • The Amazon Firestick will not connect to the Soundbar. The Sound Bar and the Amazon Firestick would connect separately to the TV.

  1. The unit will automatically turn to standby mode when no audio input is received. The Soundbar will wake up from Standby mode when any button is pressed, or source input is received.

  2. If the TV or the external unit is disconnected, switch it off.

  3. To switch the unit off completely, remove the main plug from the mains socket.

  4. Please turn the unit off completely to save energy when not in use.

  • Press the input button on the soundbar or the remote control to select various modes. Please note the LED colours:

  • EQ Modes: The soundbar has four Equalizer modes.

  1. Through Bluetooth, connect the Soundbar with your Bluetooth device (such as an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android phone, or laptop), and then you can listen to the audio files stored on the device through your Soundbar speakers. What you need:

  2. A Bluetooth device which supports Bluetooth profile A2DP, AVRCP and with Bluetooth version as 5.0.

  3. The maximum operational range between the Soundbar and a Bluetooth device is approximately 8 meters (26.2 feet).

  4. Use either the "INPUT" button on the Soundbar or on the remote to activate Bluetooth mode. The "BLUE" LED light will indicate that BT mode has been selected.

  5. Activate the Bluetooth pairing function on your phone or other compatible device and select the

  6. Bluetooth list "AAVANTE BAR AAUPERA_XXXX (****4 number is randomly generated)" from those devices.

  7. When it is pairing or connecting, the blue LED light blinks, when successfully paired, the blue LED light will steady on with a beep.

  8. The remote control includes BT mode playback controls, long-press "PAIR" button on the remote for more than 2 seconds to disconnect Bluetooth and long-press it to connect Bluetooth again ("PAIR" button on remote control is available only under BT mode)

  1. Firstly, connect the sound bar to your PC, laptop, smart-phone, TV, or other audio devices by using an AUX cable provided. Make sure that these devices have both AUX IN and AUX out terminals.

  2. Then short press the "INPUT" button on the soundbar or on remote control to switch the sound bar to AUX mode, once the sound bar is connected to AUX mode, the LED light will indicate "PURPLE" colour. Playback can only be controlled on your connected device (Note: For some computers, you may need to access the audio control panel to manually set the sound bar as shown steps on above).

  3. Ensure the connected media device is producing an audio signal, then adjust the volume of the soundbar using the volume up or volume down button on the remote control or on the soundbar control panel

  1. The soundbar automatically switches to USB input mode with the LED indicating "PINK" when a USB flash drive is inserted.

  2. When the soundbar is powered on and a USB flash drive is inserted, use either the "INPUT" button on the soundbar or on the remote to activate USB mode.

  3. The "PINK" LED light will indicate that USB mode has been selected and the music in the USB will be automatically played. (In case it doesn't change automatically when a USB flash drive is inserted)

  4. This mode cannot be used on the soundbar until a USB flash drive is connected.

  5. Ensure that your USB flash drive contains MP3 audio file (other file types are not supported.)

  6. Some external devices may require USB connector for connecting the USB flash drive to the USB port on the soundbar (or your own USB extension cable connected to the USB port).

  7. The remote control includes USB input mode playback controls.

  1. Remove the cap of optical cable (keep the cap for future use); check the direction of the plug. Connect the soundbar and TV with the optical cable.

  2. Use this mode to play music from a TV with optical digital output on the sound bar. In TV sound settings, select the soundbar optical connection (output for audio). When the optical cable is connected, the TV audio output is set to PCM format.

  3. The TV must have an optical digital output. Use the supplied optical cable to make the connection as follows:

  4. Connect the optical cable to the optical digital output of your TV.

  5. Connect the optical cable to the optical digital input of your soundbar.

  6. Switch on the TV set and the soundbar. Set the connected TV to "PCM Stereo". Set the audio output mode as <automatic> or <decoded output as PCM state>.

  7. Start playing on the TV.

  8. Using either the “INPUT" button on the soundbar or on the remote control to activate the OPTICAL mode. Once connected, the "ORANGE" LED light will be indicated on the soundbar.

  9. Playback can only be controlled on your connected device.

  10. Use the volume buttons to adjust the volume to your requirements.

  11. You can also change the audio settings by using the relevant buttons on the remote control.

  1. The sound bar supports HDMI (ARC) with audio return channel (ARC). You can hear the TV audio through your sound bar by using a single HDMI (ARC) cable. But on condition that your TV is ARC compliant.

  2. Using a high-speed HDMI (ARC) cable, connect the HDMI (ARC) connector on the sound bar to the HDMI (ARC) connector on the TV. The HDMI (ARC) connector on the TV might be labeled differently. For details, see the user manual of your TV.

  3. Press the “INPUT" button on the remote control or on sound bar to select HDMI (ARC) mode. After connection, the LED light indicates " Green "color. Different TV might be in different setting, please refer to your TV User Manual.

  4. Use the volume buttons to adjust the volume to your requirements.

  5. You can also change the audio settings by using the relevant buttons on the remote control.

NOTE:

  • When connecting a device such as a TV/Set-top box/DVD/ game console with HDMI ARC) cable, set the audio output mode of the device to PCM mode. <digital HDMI (ARC) output>.

  • The TV is connected to a HDMl (ARC) port with sound bar. Different TVs might have different setup menus, but the operation approach is the same.

  • If need arises to connect set-up box meanwhile, please firstly connect the HDMl (ARC) connector and paired to the sound bar. Then connect the set-top box.

  1. Standby mode for power on/off.

  2. PAIR: A] Press and hold it for more than 2 seconds to disconnect or re-connect to the paired device under BT mode. (When disconnection, the blue LED light is blinking, when re-connected the last paired device, the blue LED light is steady on with a beep). B] Press and hold it for more than 2 seconds to enter network pairing mode under WIFI (The white LED light is blinking in pairing)

  3. Volume+: Master Volume up step by step by short-press, continuously master volume up by long-press. (The volume total value is 18, default value is 10, when is standby, and the volume value setting can be memorized. When the soundbar is powered off, it is not memorized.)

  4. Pre button: Previous program by short press it (Only work under USB&BT input source).

  5. Volume - Master Volume down step by step by short-press, continuously master volume down by long-press. (The volume total value is 18, default value is 10, soundbar is standby, and the volume value setting can be memorized. When the soundbar is powered off, it is not memorized.)

  6. "Alexa" voice wake button: short press it to wake up ALEXA voice control system

  7. BASS+: Bass volume up to maximum 4db by short-press or long-press. ((LED lights on the right when BASS volume increases. Default as Odb, one LED lights on in the middle.)

  8. BASS-: Bass volume down to maximum 4db by short-press or long-press. (LED lights on the left when BASS volume decreases. Default as Odb, one LED lights on in the middle.)

  9. INPUT: Input source by short-press it (BT/AUX/OPT/HDMI (ARC)/USB/WIFI), Note: LED brightness is reduced by half when soundbar is not operated. (i)BT: Blue light indicates (ii)HDMI (ARC): Green light indicates (iii)AUX: Purple light indicates (iv)USB: Pink light indicates (v)OPT: Orange light indicates (vi)WIFI: Cyan light indicates

  10. Reset: Press and hold the button more than 3 seconds to set functions to manufacturing defaults. After the reset is successful, the corresponding source LED light flashes once, the volume reset is defaulted as value 10, treble and bass reset is defaulted as mid-tone value Odb.

  11. Next button: Next program by short press it (Only work under USS & BT input source).

  12. Play or pause by short press it (Only work under USB and BT input source).

  13. MUTE: Short-press it to mute mode, source LED light blink slowly, press MUTE again or VOLUME+/- to unmute.

  14. MUSIC/ NEWS: Select the MUSIC/NEWS EQ effect.

  15. TR+: Treble volume up to maximum 4db by short-press or long-press. (LED lights right when TREBLE volume increases. Default as Odb, one LED lights on in the middle.)

  16. TR-: Treble volume down to maximum 4db by short-press or long-press. (LED lights left when TREBLE volume decreases. Default as Odb, one LED lights on in the middle.)

  17. MOVIE / 30: Select the MOVIE/30 EQ effect.
